I think Maiden by far had the best run of album covers. From the debut album right up to 'Seventh Son...' I really don't think it gets better than that. By my count that is 9 great album covers if you include 'Maiden Japan'.

This is a draw. Mary Ann was indeed very cute....Ginger was hot. If I remember correctly the actress that played Mary Ann was hot up to when she was in her late 40's to early 50's....she might still be hot. I think Ginger aged pretty well to. They were both smokin. Personally I would have chosen a threesome.

...that was actually pretty cool. What I didn't like was the fact that he tried to get The Beatles deported and the whole wife beating thing.

The Beatles by far. The Stones were great and wrote great songs, but I just don't think they were on the same level as The Beatles. The Beatles were pioneers and wrote in so many different styles without losing their identity. Their vocal harmonies could only really be matched by the Beach Boys and the Everly Bros. and musically they were always pushing the envelope. For a band that only recorded for about 8 or 9 years has to be one of the most prolific bands of their time. Their influence was second to none.

Love UFO.... but Lizzy along with Maiden are my all time favorites. Lizzy were way ahead of their time both musically and lyrically. Also Lizzy had my favorite guitarist of all time in Brian Roberston. Thin Lizzy rules.....

I'm gonna go with a draw on this one. Sabbath was definately more consistent, but Purple at it's best couldn't be beat. I loved the interplay between Blackmore and Lord. Also Ian Gillan is one of my favorite singers of all time. Sabbath are the Kings of metal and their albums are timeless. To tough to call.....love them both the same.

Close....but Roth era Van Halen was really a thing that was hard to beat. Didn't get any more American than that....and early VH new how to swing. That is what made it so great. There was so much attitude in those albums.
VH for me.....

This one is really close. On one hand Floyd was very experimental and actually said alot lyrically. The sounds and melodies of Floyd were great. They took you in alot of different directions. On the other hand Zeppelin dabbled in alot of different genres and while they didn't say a whol lot lyrically, Plant was still very poetic. Page was also the King of the chord progression and wrote some of the greatest guitar music ever. Top that with having one of the greatest drummers of all time and one of the most solid bass players of all time. So I had to go with Zeppelin in the end.

I am going with Aerosmith but I am only counting up until 'Rock In a Hard Place' Both great bands though. I am counting Cooper with the original lineup....which was the best lineup he had.

In looking at the Tesla website, it seems that Tommy is not involved in the summer tour because his wife just had a baby and he wants to spend more time with them in Florida where he now lives.

Actually Tesla has replaced Tommy Skeoch on their current tour, IS TOMMY DRINKING AGAIN? I KNOW A COUPLE YEARS BACK THEY REPLACED HIM FOR PART OF A TOUR DO TO AN ON GOING DRINKING PROBLEM. I think back in the day he had a heroin problem. My friend saw them at the House Of Blues last year for the 20th anniversery of the 'Five Man Acoustical Jam' and said he looked pretty bad. The band was also fighting alot backstage.

Actually Tesla has replaced Tommy Skeoch on their current tour, but they still rock. They did a bunch of great covers when I saw them last month. I won't spoil it for you ! That would almost kill it for me. Skeoch was too big a part of that band. Great guitar player.

Tesla will be good. They have always had all the original members...always thought Slaughter sucked. To me it's not Skid Row without Baz.....but I have heard Johnny Solinger is a good singer. Have not been impresed with new Skid Row I have heard on XM. Tesla alone though will be worth the price of admission.
