Beatles and Zep are my top two, so... Stones would win some other matchups, but....

The Stones...more of what I consider a real rock and roll band Good point Rush and I have to agree. However, for me, The Beatles will always hold top spot when matched up against The Stones...or most other groups for that matter. Beatles all the way. Thanks Kim

I picked the Stones.... but that doesn't mean anything, really. I like them both very, very much....pretty much equally, but I give the nod to the Stones for longevity.

The Beatles by far. The Stones were great and wrote great songs, but I just don't think they were on the same level as The Beatles. The Beatles were pioneers and wrote in so many different styles without losing their identity. Their vocal harmonies could only really be matched by the Beach Boys and the Everly Bros. and musically they were always pushing the envelope. For a band that only recorded for about 8 or 9 years has to be one of the most prolific bands of their time. Their influence was second to none.

This one was tough but I had to give it to the Stones they loved their fans - & the money - enough not to walk away
