ac/dc for sheer volume of good work. the first vh was as good if not better than even ac/dc's best (highway to hell, back in black) but none of the other vh albums is close to the best ac/dc stuff imo of course.

I'm of the same line of thoughts on this as Equinox in that the sheer volume and in my opinion, consistency, nails it for me.
I'd have to go with AC/DC.

Close....but Roth era Van Halen was really a thing that was hard to beat. Didn't get any more American than that....and early VH new how to swing. That is what made it so great. There was so much attitude in those albums.
VH for me.....
