At my age, I'm more discriminating with my music dollar. Just cant go out and find the flavor of the week like my teen years. And i do beleive bands are only putting out things to satisfy record contracts. Look at Deep Purple since 1991 they've had no less than 8 record labels. Rock isnt the cash cow it was in the 70's and 80's, so a band puts something out to tour to make their money. Selling 50,000 albums doesnt cover record studio time.

Pete, nice list including Ritchie's last disc as Rainbow and as a rocker, have always thought that 1 more disc with that line-up would have put him back on top again.

Gas could be $5 by Memorial Day, that will be limiting my driving to any concerts of distance. Ticket prices aint gonna do anything but go up when they got to haul their stuff around and their price at the pump will affect ticket prices.

This is sickening. Not only did i, think it was a joke on Facebook it set me to the computer to find out. I went to the BBC, and unfortunately they were reporting the pasing of Gary Moore. I had a dinner appointment and begrudgeoningly went to my car and got the i-pod plugged in on shuffle and After the War was the first song playing, and it got me out of the bad mood i was in. Thank God for his body of work is so huge, there's plenty to enjoy of his life.

Went with Ritchie, he can pull a riff out with one hand in his pocket and the other tuning his headstock. And he's a master improving during a live show. The rest follow the script during shows. One who should be on the list that would have been a challenge to Ritchie is Gary Moore back when he rocked.
