Yes indeed! Liked all their stuff from Premonition, up until Too Hot To Sleep. Never got a copy of Reach, as I heard mixed reports, lame album, weak mix, etc, but now Jimi Jamison has moved on, but working on and off with former Survivor member and major contributor, Jim Peterik. Last year Jimi Jamison released 'Crossroads Moment,' an album written mostly by Jim Peterik and has been raved about by many classic Survivor fans, although I've not heard it. I did see Survivor last year and reviewed the gig here though: www.classicrockrevisited.com/concertsurvivor.htmThey were good and Robin McAuley ex-Grand Prix (UK band) and ex-M.S.G. is a great fit! It's funny as I'd seen the band live - and reviewed that too! - after he'd just joined them back in 2006 and back then, I wasn't so sure it was a good fit. Read that review here: classicrock.about.com/od/artistsnz/a/survivor_review.htmI like both Survivor's material and MSG and Grand Prix (With McAuley) and without doubt he's a way better fit with the band now, a few years on. Supposedly there is a new album due out soon, according to Frankie Sullivan through the bands site: survivormusic.com/There you go! Al chambersofrock.blogspot.com/

I actually thought 'Wild Catz' was kind of average and not that great. Spellbound album track, Hellbound - Now you're talking! 'I'm Hellbooooooooouuund, shot down, Hellbound, heading for the ground! The Story So Far was great, Gangland too ... Crazy Nights had some great songs and some so, so ... The Cage - which many fans hated - I thought was great as it showed the band with more diversity ... Go on, say it ... 'It was too poppy, too produced ...' Paris By Air was great, Tides too, Lonely At The Top awesome! When this LP came out, I stuck it on tape copied the tape again and played this endlessly at the time, along with stuff like Diamond Head's White Album (1st self released), Leppard's High And Dry, April Wine's Harder Faster, Lizzy's Live and Dangerous, UFO's Strangers ... and No Place to Run, Saxon Wheels of Steel, MSG 1 and 2 and so many, many more! It was such a great time for rock in the UK, with the NWOBHM. Wow! What a great time! Al www.chambersofrock.blogspot.com

Schon said: "But it's a one title, like most of our records are, and it's a very deep subject. Real stuff." What, something like 'Gravity!' LOL! Al

Hey all, Sorry I've been away so much, it's all been crazy, manic and all the rest! Work is totally messed up, did get asked to come back to work after Christmas, but now being told that I'll be done at the end of January. Well, as you can see, time is not on my side, otherwise this interview I'm talking about here would've been posted late last year and not now in the middle of January! You can read it here, I will warn you that's it about 25 minutes of chat - I did edit some out, although not much. Status Quo's Francis Rossi interviewed: www.chambersofrock.blogspot.com/Cheers to everyone and as Arnie said, 'I'll be baaaack!' LOL! Al

Bruce Kulick - BK3 Bon Jovi - The Circle Tesla - Forever More New Bruce Kulick album, it's a grower ... When I first played it, I gave up half way through. Second time, thought, it's not too bad, but not consistant ... Third time ..., I like it and it's growing ... Forth time ... & now I can't stop playing it! Love this album! Al

Kim - I'm sure Ian will back me up on this, Quo have been pretty popular just about everywhere, except the USA & Canada! Well, I can't speak for Japan, but Australia was & still is very strong market for them, as is all over Europe .... That's where all those sales come from my boy! We know all about them, hopefully more folks will also support them a little more here in the US & Canada in 2010! Cheers, Al

Well Kim, what a cool dude you are saying all that! Right there with you bro! Sadly, this is the 2nd year where Rhonda & I have not exchanged gifts & it's not because we don't care, but that we're short of cash - Have been for a while - & as you say, it's all about family & for us, that's the kids! No new music for me ... I did receive that Bruce Kulick CD from his PR folks, a while back - 3 weeks 'ish ... - which I think is OK, doesn't really flow for me, but then look at how many different vocalists contribute?! Review will be going up on my blog site, as I need to focus on that, to see how much traffic it gets ... So far, not looking so good, not much support to it, it seems - Sound familiar Rikki?! Sad eh?! - & only one follower of my blog site & that's from the guy that first published my review work! Sad ...! Guess I won't be launching any website myself, if the support is not there based on blog site traffic ... Still ..., there you go! Kim - I need to find the time to type up my Rossi interview to post over there .... Bloody never have any & right now I'm beat at the end of a long day, where I've found no new news for the blog site, for the first time in 3 weeks! Oh well, I guess there is that couple that is suing Gene Simmons for assault! I wish them luck, with all his bloody money! www.pollstar.com/blogs/news/archive/2009/12/26/703184.aspxCheers all, enjoy the rest of the holiday! Well, there's more than 5 as Spacelord & Onering already went ahead & noted. If I had to narrow it to 5, probably the top 5 rock losses for me are: 1. Phil Lynott 2. Bon Scott 3. Brad Delp 4. Freddie Mercury 5. Cozy Powell There were plenty of others worthy of mentions though ... Al

Hey folks, If it's of any interest, my recent reviews of DVD releases from Thin Lizzy - Are You Ready?, Status Quo - Live in Montreux 2009 & Kansas - Know Place Like Home are now posted at: www.chambersofrock.blogspot.com/Hope everyone's doing OK? Got let go from the day job yesterday, bummer right before Christmas, but they've been keeping me going back & forward, hanging on by a thread since October ... Guess I got lucky to be extended until now. Still, have to be optomistic right, hopefully things in this economy will start turning around in the New Year ..., although I don't really know what's changed out there to make it happen. Happy Holiday to everyone anyway, it's all about the family right?! Keep on rockin' Al
