Hi folks, From the Uriah Heep site, this from Mick Box. Cheers, Al December 6 2009 Well the 40th Anniversary Celebration tour of Europe is just over half way through, and thus far it has been fantastic. There have been plenty of sell outs, and there is a real buzz about the band at the moment that feels really good. The set list has now bedded down, and has been getting a fantastic response, and we feel we are just getting into our stride. The first two shows of the Concert Live Official Bootleg CD’s have gone down very well, and we seem to be autographing an awful lot of them, so that is a good sign. The Celebration CD & CD/DVD have had excellent reviews along with the live shows, so I can report it is a very happy Heep camp at the moment. We have just finished a run of 6 consecutive shows, in 5 consecutive cities, which has been quite gruelling for the band and crew, so it is nice to have a night off tonight to recharge our batteries for the next run of shows. I am writing this in our hotel in Aschaffenburg. Next year is filling up already with confirmed shows in Greece, Russia, South Africa, Germany, Finland and Poland to name but a few, so it looks like a busy 2010. A big thanks to all of you that have come to the shows thus far, and we hope to see as many fans as we possibly can over the coming months ahead. ‘Appy Days! Mick www.uriah-heep.com/newa/news.phpMore details on that Celebration CD / DVD here - Only available on import in the USA right now I believe: To celebrate their 40th band-anniversary Uriah Heep decided to look back to their past without melancholy or nostalgia. Uriah Heep looks at the future proud and happy about their 40 years of joyful relationship with their audience. That s how the title Celebration came about. Heep history has been an extraordinary journey and it was time that their greatest classics were recorded in studio by the line up playing them live to fans all over the world for more than 20 years. The band re-recorded twelve of their most successful songs: classics like Free Me, Gypsy, The Wizard, Easy Living and of course their all-time smash-hit Lady In Black . In addition to that they have composed and recorded two completely new songs as a special gift to their fans. Only Human and Corridors of Madness are two of their best tracks in years! Ear Music. 2009. Track Listing Disc 1 - CD: Only Human (new track) Bird Of Prey (new version) Sunrise (new version) Stealin' (new version) Corridors Of Madness (new track) Between Two Worlds (new version) The Wizard (new version) Free Me (new version) Free And Easy (new version) Gypsy (new version) Look At Yourself (new version July Morning (new version) Easy Living (new version) Lady In Black (new version) Disc 2 - DVD Live @ Sweden Rock Festival : Sunrise Stealin' Gypsy Look At Yourself July Morning Easy Livin' Lady In Black

ACE FREHLEY TO RELEASE DVD IN JANUARY December 2009 As Rocket Science Ventures picks up steam through Sony/ RED, we have 6 new releases slotted into the RED Schedule. Fresh on the heels of Ace Frehley's Anomaly which is approaching 60K in U.S., look for a new DVD release from Ace in January. A brand new release from Bruce Kulick will also release via RSV in February 2010. The new BK3 release features guest appearances form Gene Simmons as well as Nick Simmons. Early March will see Shooter Jennings' incredible new release, an "audio story" woven throughout the album is narrated by Stephen King! We will lead into Q2 with a new Nonpoint studio release. This hard working band from Florida has built an amazingly solid touring base through the years and have been hard at work in the studio this fall preparing a release that will set a new standard for the band! Finally, we would like to welcome Artist 2 Market to the Rocket Science family: this longtime client merged with us in mid November, bringing some amazing content to the family, Dolly Parton, Tracy Lawrence and Spinal Tap to name a few. Hey all, Well, it seems The Scorpions are at work currently recording 12 Songs for the new Album, which is going to be released in March 2010. Meantime, something to keep fans interested ... A new live DVD! New DVD: "Amazonia – Live In The Jungle” With their new live DVD, the Scorpions support Greenpeace’s battle against deforestation in Brazil. In August 2007, Germany’s most successful music export worldwide, the Scorpions, already ventured deep into the Brazilian jungle for a sold out show – in front of 40,000 enthusiastic fans the band played a concert in Manaus, the metropolis on the Amazon river. A cooperation with Greenpeace was already existent at this point and when the band returned to South America the next year, they happily intensified it. Kaus Meine, lead singer of the Scorpions, recollects, “Due to the unbelievable success we returned to Manaus in 2008, but we also played Rio, Sao Paulo and Recife again. During the show in Belem we accepted Greenpeace’s invitation to participate in a three-hour flight across the rainforest in order to get a picture of the proceeding destruction (an area twice the size of Germany has been destroyed by fire so far). We wholeheartedly supported Greenpeace with large banners saying “Stop the deforestation” during these shows and part of the proceeds from this DVD will consequently be given to this organisation that is commited in so many parts of the world.” For many years, Greenpeace has been fighting against the rapid deforestation of the amazon rainforest and for the preservation of the habitat of numerous animal and plant species and also of more than 180 native peoples counting more than 200,000 people altogether. Scientists assume that the rainforest will be gone by 2050 – given a constant “deforestation speed”. The consequences would be disastrous: People would lose their homes, animals and plants would become extinct and the impact on the world climate would be bomb-like. The Scorpions have now also commited themselves to protecting this unique ecosystem. The rock icons’ DVD “Amazonia – Live In The Jungle” does not only include the complete show played in Recife on 7 September 2008 and a “Special Feature – supported by Greenpeace” consisting of five live videos from their legendary concert in Manaus in 2007, but also a Greenpeace documentation of the Scorpions’ legendary flight across the amazon rainforest. Royalties of DVDs sold in Brazil and Mexico predominately go to Greenpeace Brazil’s projects to protect the ancient forest. Musically, the DVD is a highlight as well. Meine says, “During the 2008 tour we had the pleasure to perform with Brazilian guest musicians. It was a wonderful experience and demonstrated very well how music builds bridges and brings people from different cultures together.” In a closing statement, the musician addresses his South American fans and says, “We want to thank our Brazilian fans for the support and the incredible enthusiasm. To quote James: ‘3 words: You kick ass.’ Brazil rocks!!!” And so do the Scorpions. The DVD “Amazonia – Live In The Jungle” will be released on 20 November 2009. Track Listings Main Programme: Live in Recife 1.Hour I 2.Coming Home 3.Bad Boys Running Wild 4.No Pain No Gain 5.Always Somewhere 6.Holiday 7.Dust In The Wind 8.Wind Of Change 9.321 10.Blackout 11.Big City Nights 12.Still Loving You 13.Rock You Like A Hurricane Bonus Programme: Live In Manaus 1.Hour I 2.Love 'em Or Leave 'em 3.Make It Real 4.Tease Me, Please Me 5.Humanity Bonus Documentary: 1.Amazonia - Greenpeace Documentary www.the-scorpions.com/english/

Hey All, Saw this tonight: www.myspace.com/dioofficialwww.ronniejamesdio.com/ Thursday, December 10, 2009 Latest Update - Ronnie Aces 1st Chemo Treatment with Flying Colors Here is an update from Wendy Dio on Ronnie's battle with stomach cancer: Well, it has been a very exhausting month – after all the neverending tests in Los Angeles, we flew to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, and as soon as we arrived, we got a call from the MD Anderson Hospital that they had an appointment for us with the doctor we originally wanted, so we then flew to Houston to the clinic, and of course MORE tests, but Ronnie finished receiving his first chemo treatment on Wednesday, and all is going very well. I would like to thank Tony Martell from the T.J. Martell Foundation, Dr. Stuart Aaronson from Mount Sinai, Lindsay Brown and Mike Carden from Eagle Records, and our very own Dr. Sandeep Kapoor, for all your help in getting us into MD Anderson, and also our friends Geezer and Gloria Butler, who flew to Houston to be with Ronnie while he had his chemo. Ronnie and I are totally overwhelmed by the amount of well wishes that we have received from friends and fans - we are reading them all. Some make us laugh, some make us cry, but all of them are so filled with love that it gives us so much support and makes Ronnie even more determined to fight this battle and win. Thank you all for the positive energy and prayers. --Wendy Dio

I actually loved Slade back in the 70's, they were one of the first bands that I got into around '72, along with Quo, ELO, Sweet, Faces, Deep Purple, etc. I didn't get into Thin Lizzy sadly until around late '77 (Aged 15) & just missed the Bad Reputation tour & therefore, missed ever seeing the classic Lizzy line up. I saw Lizzy every tour - a few times, each time - from '79 until the end. The saddest thing for me, is when I was old enough to have the bottle to go to a gig on my own or with mates, I'd missed the "classic" period of most of the bands I really loved, 'cos I was too young at the time. My brother was also, never going to take me, the bugger! LOL! I had followed Slade throughout the 70's buying all their product, but in the late 70's when there was any likelihood of being old enough to see them, they were playing the college curcuit in the UK, as they weren't getting so many hits or no hits in the UK anymore around the time of Nobody's Fool, Whatever To Slade & Slade Alive Vol.2., Return to Base, I couldn't get into the gigs at the Poly's (In the UK), due age / student union restrictions & they were also around that time, still touring the US a lot, trying to break it there, when the UK had pushed them aside. So when I heard that Ozzy pulled out of Reading in 1980 & Slade had been asked to step in I wasn't going to miss it for the world. I had bought Return To Base a few months before, so I knew all the current stuff. I was 17. This was a dream come true for me. Of course, the rest is history & Slade were back - At least in the UK. I finally got to see them on a few of the subsequent tours, it was great! I think Run Runaway was a minor comeback hit for them in the US from The Amazing Kamikazi Syndrome album, but nothing more, right? I think it would be great if they did re-unite, I can only think Jim Lea & Noddy must've had a falling out, after Noddy became such a popular TV personality around the mid to late 80's & onwards & around then was when he quits on Slade. The down side though, is Noddy really hasn't done anything musically - except production work. - in years as Jim says, so he probably would struggle to be honest. Anyway, here's the Amazon details on the Live @ the BBC release. Looks well worth getting. Al www.amazon.com/Live-at-BBC-Slade/dp/B002LWJXNK/ref=dp_return_1?ie=UTF8&n=5174&s=musicLive @ The BBC Product details:Product Description 2009 two CD collection of archive recordings from the British Glam/Rock band. This double disc set is a a release that Slade fans have long dreamt of - a fantastic document of the period during which they transformed themselves from a potent live attraction with a burgeoning song craft of their own into the UK's favourite hit-making machine.A total of 36 rare tracks, all previously unreleased Remastered under the supervision of Slade's Jim Lea for the finest possible sound quality Stylish double digipak with 24-page booklet containing previously unseen photographs plus a comprehensive overview and track-by-track notes by Mojo's Mark Paytress featuring extensive comments from the band. Disc Two features a live concert from the Paris Theatre, London, August 17, 1972 recorded for the BBC In Concert series.

Ha ha! Too funny Equinox! Ahh, well, I'm frustrated, jammed with some friends last night, but sitter let Rhonda & me down, so it was only me jamming so no keys there. We were looking forward to jamming stuff like, Perfect Strangers, Blue Collar Man, Never Been Any Reason & soooo much more. Bummed. Still, need to listen to something different ... Just got a copy of the new Bruce Kulick BK3 which I wasn't expecting, but have been listening to it on & off now a few times. Can't actually get right through it ... Does in places remind me of Ace's new album, it is kind of dark / edgy, with the exception of 1 or 2 tracks. I'll review it here, as I don't have a CD reviewing slot anywhere else .... The variety of vocalists, is probably a lot to do with the inconsistency. Not saying it's bad, but ...., different. That said, I don't have either of his previous 2 solo releases so cannot compare. Was just listening to N/Ranger's - Rockin Shibuya 2007, double CD set where Reb Beach stepped in after Jeff Watson got taken out ... It totally rocks! Well, better get to sleep folks! Later, Al

Have to say, I always loved TNT, great band. Intuition is my fav album & Knights of the New Thunder & Terll No Tells good stuff too ... After that with so much other material from so many other bands at the time, I lost track of TNT until the much publicised - over the last couple of years - split with Tony Harnell & him being replaced by Tony Mills. Stage Dolls - Heard plenty of good things about them & even think I saw them open for someone, back in the "good old rock days" - The 80's - but don't recall when exactly. My good old mate Steve Newman thinks that they are an excellent band, so there's a good recommendation right there. I guess I've just not had the time to really check them out ... Tindrum - I know nothing of these guys ... Dream Police - Heard the name mentioned a number of times but haven't heard them. Return - Sorry, none the wiser on them either. I do love a lot of Jorn Lande's stuff. I liked Millenium & the Allen / Lande stuff too. John Norum was BORN in Norway although made his name more with Swedish band Europe ... Norum has some great solo work & has made some great contributions all over the place too. I'm sure there's other's I like too, but can't think of right now. Cheers, Al

If you are a music fan, as we are, then you’re always up for the latest on the doings of your favorite musicians. And, since we work with the multi talented KASIM SULTON and want you to appreciate him as much as we do, we’re going to tell you about some of his exciting upcoming activities. First up is a live appearance next Wednesday, November 18, on the popular “Rew And Who” internet TV show. In addition to being interviewed by the lovely Ms. Rew, KASIM will perform a couple of songs from his current album “All Sides.” Although based in NYC, you can watch the program live at 5PM at www.blogtv.com/people/arizzmaradio Then, KASIM is off to Philadelphia for a show with his band at the Hard Rock Café on Friday, November 20th before heading off to California December 1 through 5. During that week KASIM will appear with Todd Rundgren in San Francisco, Sacramento, Los Angeles and Ventura as they perform the “A Wizard A True Star” album in its entirety. And smack dab in the middle of that tour, KASIM will give a solo concert at Molly Malone’s in Los Angeles on December 3. But we’re not done yet! From there, KASIM goes to Atlanta on December 10 and starts his day early with a live appearance on “Good Day Atlanta” [WAGA-TV] before headlining that evening’s “Imagine” charity event at the Hard Rock Café, raising funds to fight hunger through the WHY Organization (World Hunger Year). And just to round things off, KASIM returns to Philly for a solo performance at The M Room on December 20. You probably know KASIM primarily as the original bass player for Todd Rundgren’s band Utopia but there’s so much more to the story.
