This was a year, for the first time where I didn't go out and buy anyone ANYTHING!...and it felt reeeeeeeally good! What I got was the 1st and 3rd seasons of Dexter. I have yet to see any of the episodes, but from what I have been told, it's something else.  Even Val and I decided to pass on the whole "gift" exchange thing and go shopping for chairs for the house when the retailers are hurtin' for cash next month...gotta love it! You know what?...Christmas was just as special though... gifts aside...it was all about being together with family. That's what it's all about now isn't it? Besides, it's not about what"you got", but "what you have" to begin with. You won't be taking the gifts with you, but more importantly, it's what you leave behind that folks will remember.  Maybe next year...just maybe...I'll give em all a trip to the "sunny South"...and then they'll stop the whining and complaining?  .......ahahahahahahahaha. I trust all was well with you great folks here? I sure hope so................. Thanks Kim |

Well Kim, what a cool dude you are saying all that! Right there with you bro! Sadly, this is the 2nd year where Rhonda & I have not exchanged gifts & it's not because we don't care, but that we're short of cash - Have been for a while - & as you say, it's all about family & for us, that's the kids! No new music for me ... I did receive that Bruce Kulick CD from his PR folks, a while back - 3 weeks 'ish ... - which I think is OK, doesn't really flow for me, but then look at how many different vocalists contribute?! Review will be going up on my blog site, as I need to focus on that, to see how much traffic it gets ... So far, not looking so good, not much support to it, it seems - Sound familiar Rikki?! Sad eh?! - & only one follower of my blog site & that's from the guy that first published my review work! Sad ...! Guess I won't be launching any website myself, if the support is not there based on blog site traffic ...  Still ..., there you go! Kim - I need to find the time to type up my Rossi interview to post over there .... Bloody never have any & right now I'm beat at the end of a long day, where I've found no new news for the blog site, for the first time in 3 weeks! Oh well, I guess there is that couple that is suing Gene Simmons for assault! I got a total of about $40 in iTunes gift cards. I'm late in the game of this iTunes thing and would prefer to buy full CDs, but I've gotten burned too many times the last 2 years buying CDs for one song, then finding out that the rest of the CD is unlistenable. There are certain artists (you probably know who) where I will still shell out the cash for a full CD, but anything or anyone new I hear on the radio with a good song or two, I'm just gonna download those songs. Sorry, but the record industry did it to themselves.

I still use "The Rocket" and just uhmmm "borrowed" some tracks from a few one hit wonders myseelf over the last few days. The thing I like about The Rocket is that it was a one time fee of $25.00 USD about 3 years ago as a "lifetime" membership. The quality is there and once uhmmm "borrowed", is mine to do with what I want. In fact, the last track I uhmm "borrowed", came in at \ 320 kbs and even on dial up, transferred within 90 seconds. Quite the selection and runs the gamut with any and all genres of music available. I was even able to find a really old recording of "You Belong to Me" performed by Patience and Prudence sometime back in the 40's or 50's. My mom had an original pressing on 78' format...remember those beasts? Anyway, even though it's a mono recording, the song sounds good on my Sony Flashplayer and with the Bose cans can be listened to anywhere, anytime. Like you Jesse, I too will shell out for the entire cd if I can expect to get at least 3 half decent tracks out of the damn thing...which appears to be getting more difficult to find these days?
