Loucifer Speaks recently conducted an interview with SEBASTIAN BACH guitarist Nick Sterling. An excerpt from the chat follow below.
Loucifer Speaks: I'm sure you've been asked this a thousand times before, but how did you end up becoming the guitarist for Sebastian Bach?
Nick: Well, he was looking for a guitarist and he initially saw me in an advertisement for Eminence speakers in Guitar Player magazine. After that, he checked out some of the stuff that I had online and we started talking by phone. Sebastian was just so stoked about making some new music and he really likes my style of writing, so everything has just kinda fell into place. I wouldn't want to be involved if he was just into doing the whole nostalgia rock thing; that's not what he's about, he wants to keep making records until he's much, much older and that's cool.
Loucifer Speaks: I understand that you're working on the new Sebastian Bach album at the moment. Are you able to tell us anything about it? Does it have a title yet?
Nick: We will be starting the pre-production for the new record soon. Most of the songs on there are ideas that I have had written in the past. A lot of the tunes that work great for Sebastian to sing happen to be tunes that just didn't fit with the songs on my last solo record. It will be more of a rock record — lots of melody but while still keeping Sebastian's signature high level of energy.
Loucifer Speaks: Will it carry on from where "Angel Down" left off?
Nick: I think it will be a very different style of album than "Angel Down" but still compatible with Sebastian's fan base. I'm really excited to start working on it.
Loucifer Speaks: Will you be hitting the road again with Sebastian Bach once the album has been released?
Nick: I hope so. I would definitely assume so! Sebastian and his management team are really wanting to give it 100%, so I'm sure that a huge tour supporting the album will happen sometime in the future.

Most music videos are horrible I think anyway. Filled with cheesy bad acting. Who directs these videos? They do a horrible job I must say. Sounds like you have been watching VH1 Classic. Yes, most videos suck, and when they make them like mini movies, they suck even worse!!!

(November 2, 2010) Metallica/Slayer/Megadeth/Anthrax : The Big 4 - Live from Sofia, Bulgaria(5 CD/2 DVD Set) [Box set] This deluxe box set includes 'The Big 4 Live From Sofia, Bulgaria' two disc, region free DVD set with the full shows from all four bands along with behind the scenes and interview footage, five CD's in slip cases with ALL the music, a 24-page booklet, a poster, photos of each band, and a Big 4 white guitar pick! All music and video footage was recorded on June 22, 2010 during one of the seven Big 4 tour stops featuring Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, and Anthrax. When the 'Big Four,' Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax shared a stage together on June 22nd, 2010, in Sofia, Bulgaria, it was the moment their fans had waited decades for. That monumental show was beamed live into over 1000 theaters worldwide via satellite in a special HD cinematic event. On November 2nd, 2010, this legendary concert will be available on DVD and Blu-ray through Warner Bros. Records. 'The Big Four Live From Sofia' includes full shows from all four bands on a two-disc set as well as behind the scenes and interview footage. In addition to the two DVD set and the corresponding Blu-ray, there will be a limited edition 'Super Deluxe' Box Set including the 2 DVD set, five CD's with ALL 5 HOURS of music, a 24 page booklet, a two-sided poster, photos of each band, and a collectable Big 4 guitar pick. These four acts broke out of the underground thrash movement in the 1980's to dominate the metal world, selling millions of records and packing arenas across the globe. Despite huge demand, these musical giants had never shared the same stage. The legendary June 22nd, 2010, concert from the tour's stop of the Sonisphere Festival in Sofia, Bulgaria aired the same day in 79 movie theaters in the U.K, over 450 theaters in over 140 markets in the US, as well as being beamed into theaters in Europe, Canada, Latin America, Australia, South Africa and New Zealand. In December 2009, the bands announced that they would be joining forces to take part in the traveling Sonisphere Festival for only 7 shows across Europe. This one-time only event, from the Sofia show, made it possible for fans far and wide to participate in what otherwise was a very limited run of dates. Lars Ulrich of Metallica says of this historic show, 'Who would have thought that more than 25 years after its inception, thrash metal's Big Four would not only still be around, be more popular than ever, playing shows together at stadiums all over Europe, and on top of that, coming to a movie theater near you in High Definition (for better or worse??!!). Bring it on!' Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian says, 'Damn, as if this Big 4 tour wasn't exciting enough, now we get to be on the big screen worldwide! Metal at the movies, two big horns up! It is unbelievably gratifying that this means so much to the metal community around the globe. Get your tix, grab some popcorn and get ready to bang your head!' Declares Slayer's Kerry King, 'I can't believe someone didn't make this happen 15 years ago! The fans finally get what they want. I think it's awesome!' Says Megadeth's Dave Mustaine, 'The magnitude of this event hasn't really sunk in yet, and I am thrilled to know that people around the planet will be able to walk into a movie theatre and experience the greatest line up of Heavy Metal in the history of the world!'

According to Spin.com, a special 10-inch green vinyl release from JIMI HENDRIX called "Merry Christmas & Happy New Year" will be released as part of "Back to Black Friday." The event aims to take advantage of the country's biggest annual single day of shopping, November 26, a.k.a. Black Friday, and is organized by the creators of Record Store Day, the cooperative project of indie outlets that stock limited edition releases for one day in April. "Merry Christmas & Happy New Year" features Hendrix's instrumental takes on "Little Drummer Boy" and "Silent Night/Auld Lang Syne" and captures the guitar legend and his BAND OF GYPSIES during rehearsal for the famous New Year's Eve 1969 Fillmore concerts.

Two months after filing for divorce from his wife of nine years, Perla Ferrar, Slash has filed a request for dismissal in Los Angeles Superior Court, according to TMZ.com.
The ex-GUNS N' ROSES guitarist, whose real name is Saul Hudson, filed for divorce in late August in Los Angeles County Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences. Slash even went as far as to hire famed divorce attorney Laura Wasser, who has handled the splits of a number of high-profile clients, including Britney Spears, Angelina Jolie and Kiefer Sutherland, according to MTV.com.
Slash and Perla were married in October 2001. This is Slash's second marriage.
Around the time his second son was born, Slash told The Pulse of Radio that becoming a family man helped settle him down. "I never actually was one of those guys that said I'm gonna be single forever and never have children," he said. "I just never made plans for it, so when it happened, it was, like, at the perfect time in my life. It's like, if it had happened a second earlier, I couldn't have handled it, 'cause I was too out there. Then when the kids came, it actually sort of secured me, more than anything."
Slash and Perla were filmed by Hollywood.TV (see video below) on October 21 after they landed at the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) following "a fantastic and much-needed vacation," according to a posting on Slash's Twitter profile.

VINCE NEIL Signs On For 'Skating With The Stars'? MÖTLEY CRÜE singer Vince Neil is rumored to be one of the celebrities who will appear on the brand new show "Skating With The Stars", which is described as "Dancing With The Stars" on ice (and comes from the same producers). ABC's "Skating With The Stars" all-star cast will be revealed Tuesday (November 2) during "Dancing With the Stars". The new show is scheduled to debut November 22, with Bethenny Frankel of "Real Housewives Of New York City" and actress Sean Young as two other rumored participants. You've seen what happens when celebrities take on the ballroom... Now see what happens when they hit the ice on blades of steel, in "Skating With The Stars". The new series from BBC Worldwide Productions will pair celebrities with a world-class ice skater as they prepare to compete in front of a live audience in a televised ice skating competition. The skating pairs will be critiqued by a panel of expert judges and will receive a set of scores based on artistry and technique, and also by viewers at home, with one couple being eliminated each week. "Skating With The Stars" will kick off its six-episode run with a live premiere episode on Monday, November 22 (9:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC television network. "Skating With The Stars" is produced by BBC Worldwide Productions. Izzie Pick ("Dancing With The Stars" and the U.K.'s "Strictly Come Dancing") and Phil Edgar Jones ("Big Brother" and "Celebrity Big Brother") serve as executive producers. Paul Osborne ("I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!" and "Secret Millionaire") will serve as co-executive producer. Alex Rudzinski ("Dancing With The Stars") will direct.
