We haven't had giveaways here for a while, just wondering if we should start them up again? What do you think members? By the way, I will be counting how many of you reply to this, it'll let me know if the force is strong enough. I do like to share with our members here but if it's only the same 10 people I'd rather stand outside Walmart and do a giveaway. We could start off with the new cd by ASIA 'Phoenix' Asia’s eponymously titled debut album in 1982 was both ecstatically received and the biggest selling album of the year. It spawned a trio of US top 10 singles in "Heat of the Moment", "Only Time Will Tell" and "Sole Survivor." Over the greater part of the 80s, Asia racked up 15 million in global record sales.
Rising from the ashes in 2008, the Multi-Platinum Supergroup Asia returns with "Phoenix," the first new album featuring the original line up in 25 years. With a revered musical pedigree, Geoff Downes (Yes, The Buggles), Steve Howe (Yes), Carl Palmer (ELP), and John Wetton (King Crimson) have returned to their hit making roots. Featuring the anthemic lead track "Never Again", and the poignant "An Extraordinary Life," Asia’s revived the sound that made them radio staples.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Police are investigating the death of a Newman/Haas/Lanigan Racing mechanic as a homicide.
David ``Davey'' Evans, 63, died early Sunday morning after a fight while leaving Kazablanka Bar, which is attached to the hotel where team members were staying during practice for the May 25 Indianapolis 500.
Police spokesman Sgt. Matthew Mount said Monday the Marion County coroner has ruled Evans' death a homicide caused by a stroke brought on by the fight and other health factors.
Police have questioned the man who was involved in the fight with Evans, Mount said. He could potentially face charges of battery or involuntary manslaughter.
Newman/Haas/Lanigan general manager Brian Lisles said Evans had been with the team for more than 20 years and had worked on cars for Mario and Michael Andretti.
Lisles described Evans as a gentleman.
``His final moments in this world were totally atypical of how he led his life,'' Lisles said. ``He was a quiet, thoughtful person who just went out to have a meal and a beer and was walking back to the hotel.''
Lisles said the team's best tribute to Evans would be a successful race and season. The team's drivers are Graham Rahal and Justin Wilson.9

May 5, 2008 -- After 25 years, 12 albums, over 2,500 shows, over 16 million albums sold worldwide, TESLA is stronger than ever. Continuing on that momentum, TESLA--Jeff Keith (vocals), Frank Hannon (guitars), Brian Wheat (bass), Troy Luccketta (drums) and Dave Rude (guitar)—will release their third DVD, COMIN’ ATCHA LIVE! 2008, on June 24 on the band’s Tesla Electric Company Recordings label (in partnership with Ryko Distribution). “This DVD marks a new era creatively for TESLA because we put it all together ourselves, capturing the band’s concert and life on the road,” says lead guitarist Frank Hannon. “Nowadays, we are more involved in every aspect of our music career than ever before. We are very excited about the creative results and it really shows in the new DVD.” It’s TESLA’s first DVD in 17 years (since 1991’s Five Man Video Band) and is filled with over two hours of live music, over an hour of special behind-the-scenes footage and never-before-seen material, including footage of TESLA interacting with fans, giving viewers a personal tour of Seattle, and an up-close look at their touring equipment and guitars. COMIN’ ATCHA LIVE! 2008 also marks the world premiere of “Dear Pvt. Ledbetter,” a new song written in honor of the troops from the band’s forthcoming album, which is currently being recorded at bassist Brian Wheat’s studio, J Street Recorders with producer Terry Thomas (who was behind the boards on the band’s 1994 BUST A NUT album) and will be released this September. More details to be announced in the coming weeks. The DVD was filmed at the Myth Nightclub in Maplewood, Minnesota on February 22. At the sold-out show, TESLA treated fans to numerous classics such as “What You Give,” “Signs,” “Modern Day Cowboy,” “Love Song” and “Little Suzi.” TESLA has been non-stop touring all around the world the past 12 months in support of their two-disc critically acclaimed REAL TO REEL covers album. After taking their current hiatus from the road to record the new album of all original material, they’re getting right back out on the concert trail. Their 2008 worldwide tour starts June 6 in Solvesborg, Sweden at the Sweden Rock Festival. After the European dates conclude on June 27, they’ll start a U.S. trek on July 12, lasting throughout the summer and well into the fall. Their summer trek includes a stop in Pryor, OK on July 13 as part of Rocklahoma. Here are the current tour dates. Fans should stay tuned to the band’s official website and Myspage page (see addresses below) for more dates which will be added in the coming weeks. Warrior Soul was a pretty kickass band though...Clarke is a great frontman....very cool singer and lyricist too. I totally agree, Kory Clarke will be a great replacement. Eric Wagner's vocal's were cool in the day, but that whole high octave vocal range style like Tom Keifer (Cinderella) is all very dated sounding these days.

I'm not into the whole Ipod or MP3 player thing. If the sound was better I MIGHT be interested. But I think they sound like Sh*t. And it drives me nuts to have to listen to music on a Sh*tty stereo or sound source. Okay, that's my rant of the day. I feel better now Good rant Frank!

I have yet to care or worry about getting one, I just keep thinking to how much time it takes to download an Ipods worth on songs, and then one day comes along and ooops, it's gone, lost, stolen, whatever, its like taking care of a pack of cigarettes that you'll never smoke, always worried about where you left it, where it is, how much do the Ipod kidnappers want for the return of your Ipod....Sh*t like that. Oooops, it's raining and my Ipod in my pants pocket just fried my dick...I have many concerns. I always felt sorry for the ladies because certain time a month they would have to carry around this plastic double tampon holder, is that what carrying an Ipod is like? Where do you wear them at? How loud are they? Does it give oral? Can you install a tv in one? So many questions about this tiny expensive thing that plays music. All I do know is that you can hook it to a big stereo. They do look like something to ask to be beamed aboard the starship enterprise with. Same with cell phones, I just don't need a tool belt full of gizmos. Why would I want to get phone calls when I not home? I hate getting phone calls when I'm home. I just don't get it. What's next, strapping a hampster water bottle to my head?
