Not bad. They're pretty common for today's mainstream rock.

None of them. At first Avenged Sevenfold was a metal band. At best most of them are hard rock. From the 70's to now allot of people think any band with loud distorted guitars in their music are metal.

Rush & Black Sabbath are my main influences & top two favorite bands. Though I was born in 76. So I think the only thing I cared about in the 70's was a clean diaper, filled bottle, & sleep. But for me 2112 & Master Of Reality had the biggest impact on me musically.

Don't get me wrong I love Metallica's first three albums. But I've always been out side the norm with liking Megadeth more. Megadeth has always had better musicians. Megadeth's catalog of albums is better then Metallica's. Metallica has three suckass albums Load,Reload, & St. Anger in their catalog to Megadeth's one Risk. Though Metallica's James had better vocals up to the black album.

Black Sabbath is my favorite band. But I'll never pay that more for any thing from them.

A “heads up” for those men who may be regular Home Depot customers. Over the last month I became a victim of a clever scam while out shopping. Simply going out to get supplies has turned out to be quite traumatic. Don't be naive enough to think it couldn't happen to you or your friends . Here's how the scam works: Two seriously hot looking 20 or so girls come over to your car as you are packing your materials into your vehicle. They both start wiping your windshield with a towel and Windex and with their breasts almost falling out of their skimpy T-shirts it almost impossible not to look. When you thank them and offer them a tip, they say '”no” and instead ask you for a ride to McDonalds. You agree and they get in the back of the truck. On the way, they start undressing then one of them climbs over into the front seat and starts crawling all over you, while the other one steals your wallet.. I had my wallet stolen June 4th, 9th, 10th, twice on the 15th, 17th, 20th, 24th, and the 29th and again on July 1st, the 4th and twice on the 8th, 16th and the 23rd. So tell your friends to be careful. BTW Wal-Mart has wallets on sale 1.99 each. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you get an e-mail with "Nude Photos of Sara Palin" in the subject line, do not open it. It might contain a virus. If you get an e-mail with "Nude Photos of Hilary Clinton" in the subject line, do not open it. It might contain nude photos of Hilary Clinton. Thats too funny.

That would be awesome & I think it just might happen. I think after seeing how all the hype is working for the new AC/DC & Guns & Roses albums Gene & Paul are probably seeing there is a market out there for classic hardrock bands & they will jump on that bandwagon. I walk into the Walmart's around my area & there are AC/DC logos & displays everywhere, even in the underwear department & I can see the same thing happening with Kiss Yeah but they'll have Kiss underwear to go with the new album.

I saw AC/DC last night and told myself that I wasn't going to pay as close attention to detail for a review this time. No, this time, I'm just going to enjoy the show and let the chips fall where they may. Still, I can't help myself to note some of my observations during the show. I went with a bunch of friends and we hung out in the parking lot and then the Wachovia Center bar through the opening act. About 8:50 we made our way to our seats. As soon as we got into the arena, the lights went down and we became the assholes trying to find our seats in the dark that everybody just loves so much. There was a short video to open the AC/DC portion of the show, then Angus Young came out in his schoolboy uniform and riffed into the opening lick of their newest hit "Rock'n Roll Train". From there it was a "Greatest Hits" package as good as anything I could come up with on my own. "Back In Black", "Thunderstruck", "Dirty Deeds", "The Jack", "Hells Bells", "Shoot To Thrill", "You Shook Me All Night Long", "TNT", "Whole Lotta Rosie" (complete with a large blow up doll which appeared to be fingering itself) and a nice dose of songs from the new album "Black Ice" all of which were good and fit into the set nice even if many folks did use that time for a bathroom break. Their encores were "Highway To Hell" (with Angus emerging from a "fiery pit at center stage with his Devil horns) and a bombastic "For Those About To Rock". One friend of mine got tickets and backstage passes through a fellow who fits all artists going through Philadelphia with the "Inner Ear" monitoring system. Through this friend I was told that the AC/DC boys were damn near legally deaf and couldn't sing for Sh*t anymore. That may well have been true because the mix was such that you could hardly make out the vocals. You heard just enough to sing along if you knew the words, but not enough to tell if Brian Johnson could still sing (if you call what he does "singing") or not. And that goes double for the backing vocals. The few times I COULD hear the backing vocals well, I thought they sounded way off. Before the show I saw some girl with a T-shirt that read "Same Sh*t, Different Tour". I thought that was cute and made it the title of this post. I had seen AC/DC in 1997 and didn't particularly care for them. My big complaint was that they played for over 2 hours and that was a good half hour or so too much AC/DC for MY tastes. Last night, they played for an hour and a half plus a 2 song encore and you know what? That was just right for me. I thought they were great even if the vocals weren't too well heard. The guys themselves looked old. Angus had a very noticable bald spot and Bassist Cliff Williams was completely gray. Drummer Phil Rudd wore glasses and looked more like a history teacher than a Rock'n Roll drummer. But, hey, they all played well and the capacity crowd loved it. Hell, I loved it, Rock'n Roll is here to stay. You're funny. That is how I felt a few years ago. Also imo now Angus looks like Chester the child molester in his trade mark school boy's outfit. But for his age he still does good on that SG. I hope when I'm that age I'll still be able to play.

The band should have been named Axil N' Poses. The album isn't bad. I wonder if Axil still sucks live? He suck when I seen Guns N' Roses both in the 80's & 90's.
