Well, what can I say? The American people have spoken and their message was loud and clear: They want 4 more years of what Obama has given us. There was absolutely nothing in his campaign to signify that Obama would do anything different in a second term than what he has already tried to do in his first term. Therefor, I guess the majority (though slim) of voters are happy with:
-8% unemployment
-$4.00 per gallon gas
-Rising food prices
-Unrest in the Middle East
-A justice department that purposefully allows American guns to get into the hands of Mexican drug cartels.
-A State department that allowed an American Ambassador to be killed.
-An administration that has stonewalled any investigations into the above situations.
-Losing more troops in Afghanistan and at a higher rate than any time during the Bush administration.
-Petty partisan politics.
-Laughter at the idea that an 800 billion dallar stimulus didn't stimulate shit
-1 trillion dollar annual deficits
-Operating the U.S. government without a budget
-A 16 trillion dollar debt
-Bypassing the U.S. Constitutional process through exuctive orders
-Near stagnant economic growth
-Disarming our nuclear arsenal while allowing the Russians and Chinese to keep theirs and allowing Iran to pursue such weapons.
I could go on, but what's the point? This is what the people want. I seriously don't see how I'm going to make ends meet for another 4 years of this asshole's policies as it was all I could do to make it this far. I went into Obama's first term thinking that maybe I was wrong and this guy really could turn things around, but I was right. The man is clueless when it comes to economics, fiscal responsibility and the well-being of the United States of America. He hasn't done a single thing in his first term to make us believe that he will get it right in a second term, yet the folks voted for more. I won't say my fellow Countrymen are "stupid", but they are clearly uninformed and/or misinformed. I hate to be one of those people who blame the media, but the same media who blasted Bush when unemployment rose to 5% said very little or even praised Obama with unemployment at 7.9%. The meida that blamed Bush when gas got around $3 a gallon, claimed that the president has little to do with the price of gas when it reached $4 a gallon (in some places nearly $6!) under Obama. The same media that had a running count of all the soldiers who died in Afghanistan during Bush's 8 years, stopped counting once Obama took office. I guess none of that matters so long as a Democrat is in the White House.
God bless America, we got the President we deserve, I suppose. I hope I'm around to see how things go by 2016.
