I think 'Firepower' is the best Judas Priest album since 'Defenders of The Faith'.

The new Ghost. Very good album...I am probably more of a casual fan of this band. I don't own any of their music but I would buy this album. The last album was also really good and I listened to some of that today as well.

Yesterday I got the new Alice In Chains 'Rainier Fog' in the mail....listened to it twice today in the car. So far I really dig it. Sounds very similar to the last two AIC albums. The songwriting is great. It's kind of droning and alot of slower tempos but I like it. The only disappointment is that the Cd packaging had no liner notes....I thought that was odd.
Also discovered that an Australian band I am a big fan of called The Beasts of Bourbon released an album in 2006 that I was unaware of called 'Little Animals'. I got that in the mail as well. They started out in the early 80's. Basically sound like sloppy Rolling Stones meets Nic Cave meets a lot of booze and heroin. Great band.....and this last album sounds like classic Beasts of Bourbon. I discovered it after finding out that Spencer Jones the guitar player died last week. RIP Spencer...

Sleep-The Sciences.....I bought this album at their merch table(and proceeded to leave my card there) Thursday night after my band opened up for them and Skeletonwitch at the Hopscotch Music Festival here in Raleigh. We played the show at a place dubbed "The Basement"....which actually was Exhibit Hall A of the Raleigh Convention Center. Largest venue we have ever played. Unfortunately not the largest crowd we have played to since we played so early and our time slot was just before The Flaming Lips set on the street stage downtown. Still a fun show to play and enough people were there to make it worth it.

Armored Saint-Saints Will Conquer...great live EP...it's only flaw is that it is not a full length live album.

Yesteryday: Helloween-Chameleon....actually has some good songs and is a good album.....just not what you expected from Helloween I loved "Chameleon"! Some of their best songs ever, but most of them aren't Metal. I guess that's why people poo-pooed it. :/
