wow, I had no idea about Mars.
Here's a cool video, some shots of Mars. Nicko from Maiden behind the drums!

Self titled debut from Mirror.....great band that is the brainchild of former Electric Wizard bassist Tas Danazoglou. More retro rock like Witchcraft...but maybe a little heavier

This is the best Priest album since 'Defenders Of The Faith' in my opinion....and no I was not a fan of 'Painkiller'.

Produced by Andy LaRoque of King Diamond. Some good doomy metal....but it does get fairly repetitive and lyrically it is a little sophomoric.

Totally agree on the Priest. And I don't even like "British Steel" that much!
Now playing: Genesis - Trespass

Black Sabbath-Headless Cross
Great record. This and 'The Eternal Idol' are really under appreciated and underrated albums in the Sabbath catalog. I really dug the Tony Martin era.

I should revisit that stuff. Every time I do, it just makes me long for the Dio records.

Yeah I hear yeah.....but most of the Martin albums stand on their own....and I dug his voice. Kind of Dio meets Ray Gillen.

Been into Leif Endling's two current bands Avatarium and Doomsday Kingdom. Both essentially the same bands with different singers. Both really good. I bought the Doomsday Kingdom album on vinyl and was listening to that. If you like Candlemass you will not be disappointed....although Avatarium and Doomsday Kingdom are more melodic.

Probably the best non Adrian Smith Maiden album Went and saw Flotsam and Jetsam last night. They were stellar. Listened to their latest self titled album on the way to the show. Kickass record. Attachments:

I always liked "Fear Of The Dark" while others trashed it and critics panned it. Definitely the best album during Smith's hiatus from the band.

Been loving Priest's "Firepower"! Also, the new Blackberry Smoke album, "Find A Light", is really good! And, though I'm an established fan, I found their last two albums to be a bit lackluster. Both these CDs have been in heavy rotation on my players!
