As I said in another thread here on the forum, the 80s were dragging to an agonizing end and so would I heve been if not for G'N'R and that COOL album...to me it was a like a breath of very FRESH air in a climate....the CRAPPY 8o's....that were beginning to piss many a rocker off (not only me:). 1988 and onwards can REALLY be seen as the RENNAISANCE of rock...UNconditionally

Most bands who have been around awhile will go through a phase where they are trying to get radio play. Some that haven't yet been mentioned: Foreigner Molly Hatchet Blackfoot Savatage Styx Whitecross Bad Company The Outlaws Quiet Riot I agree with you on Foreigner and Styx 100%

Any band that was part of the NWOBHM....NO hair bands of course.....and some very good pop-rock bands like The Knack, Van Halen, Blondie, the Paisley Underground scene in the USA....apart from that, the 80s were TOTAL CRAP FROM START TO END....the dark ages of rock...a decade to totally forget....everyone was dancing to that UTTER CRAP called YMCA and voting Reagan and Thatcher....how is it that people have such a short mmeory??!! . Anyway, on a good note, the 80s ended....GOOD RIDDANCE FOREVER....and the 90s with grunge took over...I sincerely hope the 80s NEVER happen again ;D
