Terry Jacks' "Seasons in the Sun" nearly brings a tear to my eyes every time I hear it.

IMO, KISS has no less talent than most anyone. KISS having no talent is an old wives-tale. Despite popular opinion, Gene Simmons can play bass guitar as well as any rock bassist. I'm serious. Also, imo, Paul Stanley is one of the top rhythm guitarists is rock history. Eric Singer and the late Eric Carr are/were among the best rock drummers anywhere. Bruce Kulick is in the same league as Satriani and other top rock guitarists. Tommy Thayer is constantly proving his talent. Back in the day, Ace Frehley and Peter Criss were no slouches. However, I do not necessarily have the same opinion of Ace & Pete today.IMO, KISS would've made it without the facepaint and awesome stage show, however, imo, KISS would not have reached the enormous popularity without the imagery. Nonetheless, they still would've made it on rock'n'roll music alone. There, I said it.

From this list, I enjoyed Styx' Big Bang Theory the most. I want to give an Honorable Mention to American Minor's s/t debut album, it was not on this list. The Foo Fighters' In Your Honor was also among my top albums of the year.

Technically, Oklahoma is not part of the "Dixie-south" however it is certainly close enough to appreciate southern culture. There are too many classic Skynyrd songs to choose just one but I suppose the one I probably enjoy the most is "Call Me the Breeze". It's a fun tune that makes you wanna clap along. Always gets me in a good mood!

I haven't heard the new cd yet. So far, my fave is "Love On the Rocks With No Ice". The ending of that song is a pure rip-off of KISS.....and it gives me goosebumps!

Sounds interesting, yes..... Also sounds like Sixx is profitting from his heroin addiction, well, more power to him, I guess. If Gene Simmons had been a drug addict, he would've already written a book, produced a movie and created a Saturday morning cartoon show about it. ;D Gene would be proud, way to go Nikki. I just hope a book like this will scare the !@#$% out of people and prevent someone from ever using heroin.

I liked every single REO record right up until Good Trouble. However, Good Trouble was not their WORST (imo), it was simply a sign of things to come.... Wheels Are Turning has one good tune (I Do'wanna Know), the rest of this album is absolutely ssssshhhhhhit They instantly lost me. I've never even listened to the albums that came afterwards. I voted for "Wheels".
