I saw Saw III this weekend as well. I was slightly disappointed in the ending, but it left the door open for Saw IV, so I'm not all that pissed. I read an interview with the director (? maybe? I don't recal, but he was someone involved in the films) and he made it sound like there may be several more "Saws" to come. I certainly hope so. Anyhow, back to the mini-review. First half hour was pretty damn gruesome. Not sure if I woulda stuck around if it had continued on like that, but it DOES eventually settle down into the mystery-type of horror flick that made the other 2 movies so great. I still think "Saw II" was the best of the 3, but I did thoroughly enjoy this third installment. Many flashbacks to the other movies, explaining some of the things that went unanswered before. I hate to say anything more for fear of giving something away. let's just say that I spent almost $20 for me and my girlfriend to see this, and I felt it was worth it.

My wife & I caught it Tuesday & I totally agree with everything you say,Jesse. It definitely was pretty gruesome in parts but the storyline more than kept my interest.I also thoght Saw 2 was the best of the 3.
