The first: Night of the Living Dead. The scene where the little girl kills mommy with the trowel is priceless.

Dawn Of The Dead (1978) ...fantastic musical score by Goblin, too. The remake was pretty killer, too! I was surprised by how good it turned out. It was quite a suspenseful film, which is more than I can say for Land Of The Dead, which was spotty.

I'd say "The Evil Dead," but I've always considered them possessed, where others have thought of them as Zombies.
So, "Night of the Living Dead" 1968. As was already said, the child stabbing the mother & then eating her father is one of the greatest scenes in horror history!

Never mind Zombie movies. I just saw two low-budget cannibal movies this week - Cannibal Holocaust and Cannibal Ferox.
Pretty grim. They even kill real animals in it in close-up. No wonder they were banned in 60 countries. What kind of sicko makes this stuff? And what kind of sicko gets paid to do this infront of camera?
Why I watched them, I'll never know. But animal cruelty apart, they were still pretty entertaining in a sadistic sort of way!
