Whooooooooo...yeah baby!!!
What will the rest of the Canucks here on the board spend their whopping windfall on?!!!?
Wow eh?...Yes...I said "eh"!...Canucks use this term because we get so frustrated with the way in which this one-horse country is run, we don't know what else to exclaim! We say "eh?", because for the most part...we can't believe what we hear half the time. ;D
Similar to the British term "eh...wot???"...they exclaimed the same sentiments for years until they had the balls to uprise and prevent their govt in implementing a poll tax a few years back.
It's apparent that Canucks are just a tad bit harder of hearing and when the GST came into play, it was obvious that the majority of the country was asleep...or simply hypnotic in it's understanding of just what the lovely Mulroney govt was up to at the time?
Canada, as a nation, needed this tax burden like Ben Johnson needed more pills to help run a race! WTF? Free Trade was enough to cripple the country to the point of us still trying to extricate ourselves from this economic wheelchair that we have been in since 1990 or so...the GST pretty much continues to deliver a steady drip of morphine into an otherwise palliative cared for country waiting to be put out of our misery!
Stephen Harper and his new govt, pretty much won a big part of their election on indicating that reducing the GST or "Goods & Services" tax by 1% would give all Canadaian taxpayers that warm, fuzzy feeling we haven't seen since the days of Pierre Trudeau.
1%...wowie!!! I still smell a cash grab simply because these wacky bastards not only reduced this idiotic tax on July 1st, 2006, but then turned around the same day and increased the so called "sin tax" on everything from smokes to booze! What a break!
Even the down-trodden couldn't catch a 24 hour break because everything was closed for the first day that the decrease/increase took place???
Consider as well the turmoil that most notably, small businesses will endure by having to switch gears and try to implement a 1% saving.
According to most sources, they are simply going to increase the retail price of their goods and services in order to offset the bullshit they collectively need to undergo by trying to reduce the taxes that they have tried to maintain and pay back to the Feds over the last 16 years!
Where's the savings you ask? Well...there isn't any. For the most part, prices on virtually anything and everything can now be increased to adjust for the inflation needed to justify the increased inconvenience of struggling with this change in tax implementation. More time spent for auditors...retailers, employees screwing up...extra paperwork for those that will surely continue to charge 7%...(awwww c'mon...what's 1 lousy percent between Friends???).
The average family of 4 with a median income of $70.000 a year (which is not much above the poverty line here in Canuckville...regardless of what they tell you)...will save, on average, about $350.00 per annum.
$350...once a year...if I actually save that...will help offset the 5 to 7% increase in heating costs for the upcoming season...offset the increase in fuel to transport my arse to work on a daily basis for the next calendar year...the price that most companies will increase their markup for any given commodity over the next year...Simply because they can and will!!!!!!!!, along with the personal exemption tax levee that will come into play at the end of this fiscal year by the Feds themselves....because lord knows,...they will be short and need some excuse to raise personal income tax by at least one 1% by April 2007!
Let's face it...the money needs to come from somewhere???
What I'm thinking of doing is this...
I'm going to go out and purchase a $500.000.00 home if I can qualify for it...and the money I save on the GST will go into a "sock" upon purchase.
Come Christmas time...I'm going to take that sock full of cash and send it to Stephen Harper and tell him to empty it of all contents...(should be a few grand in it)...then tell him to put it on what's left of his dick and use it as a condom so he can continue to f*ck the country some more for the next 3 years until the next election!...Maybe I'll get a kiss first???...
Bend over baby!!!...hahahahahahahahahaha
Crude?...I think not...just ask some of the homeless and poverty stricken people here in this country that will never see any benefit from this so called "tax break"!...let alone the average bear!
Way ta go Stevie baby!
Thanks
Kim
