Pop star-turned-doll maker MARIE OSMOND has launched a personal crusade to clean up the Internet after learning her two teenage daughters have been posting sexually explicit correspondence on their MySpace.com websites. The PAPER ROSES singer felt compelled to give a statement to US tabloid National Enquirer after the publication uncovered outrageous content on her daughters JESSICA and RACHAEL's blogs. On her site, 18-year-old Jessica, who was adopted by Osmond as an infant, claims she is a bi-sexual who craves sex "as many times as possible," while her 16-year-old sister describes herself as a "slut" and a "whore" in correspondence and opened up about her dreams of having sex with DAVID BOWIE. In her statement, shocked Marie, a devout Mormon, says, "I am saddened by some of the choices that two of our children have made. "The insidious potential for harm from adolescent Internet sites like MySpace.com only exacerbates these kinds of problems. "If my being a celebrity figure is good for anything, let it be as a voice of warning to other parents that no matter how protective we think we may have been with our children in the past, we need to become more knowledgeable and even more vigilant now in order to protect them."

She'll need a pretty big broom to clean up the internet as she has stated...good luck Marie. I have a vacuum cleaner, Windex, towels, dust cloths, disinfectant, Anti-bacterial soap, Isopropyl Alcohol, Malathion, rubber gloves, weed killer, cyanide, napalm...and with all of that combined, I still can't get rid of the porn that proliferates my puter!!!! ? Maybe I'm not trying hard enough but I just can't seem to clean up my little corner of the web here???...nekid girls all over the place I tell ya!!! hahahahahahaha. Maybe Marie should direct some of her valuable time towards supervising her offspring and the time they spend surfing the uncharted waters of the world wide web?...Be a responsible parent Marie...and if it's a tad difficult...then 86 or at least limit their access to the net! That may sound like "tough love", but really, these days, it's a situation that needs to be addressed. It's one thing to have yer kids watching adult oriented fliks or catch them reading pornographic material...but now...with the advent of the inernet, they are exposed to the real deal...same as being on the streets. It's funny when you think about it...but the vast majority of kids have had the fear drummed into them...as we all have had growing up..."DO NOT TALK TO STRANGERS"...yet these days, they find it cool in allowing themselves to carry on in the safety of their humble abodes...only to make some bad decisions...which in some cases has proved tragic by many past reports. They wouldn't think twice about screaming at the top of their lungs in a public park for example if some wayward stranger innocently asked for the "time"...yet will strike up a conversation with anyone that says "hi" to them on the net and asks if they are still a virgin? If you are a parent, which I am sure most of you are, it's more important than ever that you become your child's "best friend" and make sure that you are aware of their activities, at home or otherwise. Inform them, educate them, make them aware of just what is going on out there. It's certainly the best defense we have against protecting ourselves and mostly our kids from these deviants of society that have now found a new tool and method in their approach for the atrocities that they are known for. Piss yer kids off if you have to in doing so...(I know it's hard to make friends with them that way, but damnit, you are in charge), point out examples, take em for ice cream every night if you have to...whatever...it can't hurt and can only help. Geez...I feel like an infomercial for "Save Our Kids" here but in reality, I'm just trying to point out something that wasn't a threat to us when we were kids...back then, we were safe at home...these days are kids aren't... Thanks Kim

Good points Kim I was amazed how many parents let their kids have the master screen name account, which they should never be given.........also, keep the computer in an accessible area of the house, not in their bedrooms and for pete sake, don't give them cameras with their computers............I've heard what some of the teens are using them for There is a TV station in the building where I work. For one of their segments which they call an I-Team investigation they set up a computer in a house. They had an adult woman set up a screen name of a 13 year old girl and one of a 13 year old boy complete with fake pictures and entered Yahoo! chat and AOL chat. Within minutes they had adults making sexual advances toward what they thought were young teens. They even got many of the men to meat them at the house. Instead of a boy or a girl they had TV cameras and the Sheriff's department waiting for them. One guy came all the way from Chicago to the Milwaukee suburb of Waukesha for his little hook up. But instead of a hook up he got the lock up.

Dateline has done some good programs on sexual predators..........pretty amazing stuff. One pervert went to the house, he was in his 40's married with kids, to have sex with a 13 year old boy, when he approached the house he had his 5 year old son with him. WTF was he thinking I saw that one too. Our TV station here does the same thing locally.
