Some kind of "cold front" is supposed to be blowing through tonight ... with thunderstorms. I don't mind temps being in the 50's ... which is still better than being up north at this time of year. But NO SUNSHINE this weekend. I NEED SUNSHINE!

50's and 60's for the most part. Haven't seen any rain for about three months or so, Sunshine nearly everyday, not that I see much of it Should start warming up here soon. Of course one day it could be 70, then a day or two later it could snow lol

Well, for the past number of years, our snow fall levels have been steadily decreasing, and this year is no exception...we had very little snow to start with, and now its rainign cats and dogs, and the temp is way above freezing...for now anyway. They are saying its supposed to drop considerably in the next 24 hours...

...and drop it did!
Rush is bang on with the amount of snow fall over the last number of years. Northern Ontario has witnessed this as well. As of last night, with all the rain coming down, I could see a good portion of my front lawn and had notions of going out to fertilize early as opposed to waiting until spring...haha.
At this time of year, it's not uncommon to be in the deathgrip of an Arctic air mass that would plunge temps down into the minus 30's and 40's, centigrade that is...which is still colder than a nuns biscuit! Strange to see the rain at this time of year? No fear however as I am sure that by next week at this time, many of us will be back to plugging in our vehicles to ensure transportation the following morning.
I have to admit that I really don't mind this mild spell as it sure does lessen the "wallet pain" and the funds needed to fork over to the gas and hydro companies during this time of year. I was still surprised to see a $172.00 heating bill this month but when I compared it to last years bill of the same period for $232.00, I was elated!...(more beer in my belly)...haha.
I'm sure winter is on it's way...it's just dilly-dallying because of the electoral climate these days...hahahahahaha!
Thanks Kim
