A single-engine plane trying to land at the private airstrip where OZZY OSBOURNE guitarist Randy Rhoads died in 1982 crashed into a fence Monday, killing the pilot and a passenger, according to the Associated Press. Two other passengers were injured.
The Beechcraft Bonanza stopped 200 feet short of the runway at Flying Baron Estates just outside Leesburg, said Sgt. Christie Mysinger of the Lake County Sheriff's Office. Leesburg is about 35 miles northwest of Orlando.
The pilot was identified as Bryan Uridel, 41, of Fruitland Park. The name of the other victim was not released pending notification of relatives.
