Replace him with Michael Moore and we may have a deal.

I don't understand you, what can you loose on Kerry? The worst thing America produced is a certain Mr. George W Bush! So it can only get better without him!
For Mr. Moore, love his books, and he is so damn right!
But hey, I don't wanna start a fight here, this is just my european opinion!

If you unleash a political arguement on this board someone is going to get hurt. At the risk of making this worse: Check Moore's facts (or lack thereof) and you'll see how right he is. And... ...what is wrong with Bush, what did he do wrong? God what have I done?

Well he started war at two countries without any proofs for his arguments!
But I really don't want to talk about politics here, especially not with Americans!
Don't forget I am German and I am very proud of my government that they said NO to Iraque war!

I was going to stay away from this thread, but seeing another Kerry supporter, I figured why not? Normally I follow the bartender's rule of thumb. Don't discuss politics, religion or sex and you'll have no problems. It's not that I like Kerry that much, but he is the lesser of the 3 evils (Green party included).
When the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor, we didn't bomb Indonesia. We bombed the sh1t out of Japan. So when Afganistan bombed NY, why the hell did Bush decide to go after Iraq? He was just trying to one up what his father started. His defense was 'weapons of mass destruction' that never existed in the first place.
And yes, I am one of the millions that have found myself unemployed since he was elected into office. I've been looking for work for almost two years now. Since my unemployment dried up, my only option was to try and start a business out of the house. I guess I could get a job, but I like living in America. I don't want to move to India. Too many rats there. Plus I like to eat cows, not worship them.
Bush is missing some brain cells probably due to his former cocaine habit and he and Cheney have 3 D.U.I.s between the 2 of them. But because they're in politics, I guarantee you they didn't have to do have the crap I'm forced to do for mine. Maybe it's time to find myself a new career so I won't get busting for doing what they're aloud to do.

First ofall, I started this thread as a joke. I saw a picture taken at a funny angle and thought I'd share. Not really looking to do this to anyone (though it's tough not to want to do it to Moore : Kerry's an ok guy, but not what I'm looking for for President. Bush is hardly the worst thing America has produced....not by a longshot. Micheal Moore is a living breathing spin machine for the Democrats and people on the left in general. I have no problem with his movies except that they are constantly referred to as "documentaries". Not so, call them "video-taped editorials", "view of events through delusional glasses" or (my preference) "leftist propaganda" and I'd have far less of a problem with them. On invading Afghanistan, we had intelligence that bin Laden was there and asked for the Taliban to turn him over, they told us (in a nutshell) to kiss off. They were warned that "no" would not be an acceptable response, so we eventually backed up our threats. On Iraq: WMD's were not the sole reason we went there (neither was oil : , but even if it were, we HAVE found chemical weapons and I recently read that the prewar notion that they were trying to get uranium from Niger WAS true. Even without the WMD argument, it's hard to look back in 20/20 hindsight at the mass graves and documented tortures under Saddam's rule and think we did the WRONG thing. I'm really NOT a huge Bush fan, there are plenty of things domestically, I wished he had done a better job on. But I think the 2 wars (Afghanistan and Iraq) were justified and, being a Union Carpenter, I was told in 2000 that if he got elected, the world as we knew it would end and....well, it HASN'T happened. The more Kerry opens his mouth, the less likely I am to vote for him and Nader is just a dipshit, plain and simple . Let me reitterate what I said at the top of this post though: THIS THREAD WAS STARTED AS A JOKE!

I totally took the picture as purely how it was intended, a joke. I HATE DISCUSSING POLITICS, the reason being, you aren't going to change anyone's opinions. Everyone has their point of view and the right to have that view. My philosophy is to respect the other person's opinions, even if I do not believe in them.

Well he started war at two countries without any proofs for his arguments! But I really don't want to talk about politics here, especially not with Americans! Don't forget I am German and I am very proud of my government that they said NO to Iraque war! Having differing beliefs is what America was founded on. Having said that, I don't want to talk politics on here either, especially with Americans ;D This is one topic where I think it's important to just agree that we won't agree............respect each others right to have differing opinions and leave it at that. After 9/11................America was changed and there are alot of very strong feelings..............

After 9/11................America was changed and there are alot of very strong feelings.............. How true. Before 9/11, I woulda been very opposed to the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq and the "nation building" that we are doing there now. However, after 9/11 I realized that just sitting back and allowing evil regimes to oppress their people and brainwash them into believing the US is the root of all their problems ain't exactly a good thing either. If you recall the 2000 Presidential campaign, Bush was "not interested in nation building" (his EXACT quote), Clinton/Gore were and Gore seemed to want to continue nation building. After 9/11, Bush and most of us conservatives came to realize that maybe this was one area where Clinton/Gore were right and we were wrong . But you'd never know it the way Gore, Clinton and others are now criticizing Bush for doing what Clinton and Gore BOTH had implied they would do. Ooops, I told myself I wasn't gonna talk politics on here anymore.

That's what I love about political threads, all you need to do is say a few choice words and the thread just blows up. Anyway, I just wanted a German's perspective.

At the risk of making this worse: Check Moore's facts (or lack thereof) and you'll see how right he is. The current issue of TIME magazine says he's thinking about offering a $10,000 reward for anyone who can find a single fact that's "wrong." Here's your chance to get rich! "Moore has organized a "war room" overseen by former Clinton White House aides Chris Lehane and Mark Fabiani. He also hired the former chief of fact checking at the New Yorker magazine to comb the film for inaccuracies. "There's lots of disagreement with my analysis of these facts or my opinion based on the facts. But," he insists, "there is not a single factual error in the movie. I'm thinking of offering a $10,000 reward for anyone that can find a single fact that's wrong."

I'm undecided. ;D I'd just like to say a few positive things about John Kerry. If you disagree with him just wait a few weeks. He's just like Ted Kennedy but thinner.

For the wars, of course you found chemical weapons, of course the regime of Mr. Hussein ended (but right now I doubt it is any better yet...), so of course these wars turn out right at the end,
but as the wars got started, you haven't had any proof for your theory! It isn't the right way to attack a nation because you just THINK there could be chemical weapons for example!
And what I don't like is the opinion that America is the Worlds police and has to be first at every place a conflict occurs! After all I think this is just an economical game, if your economy is down, make a war and soon economy will grow again!
Well, I won't write anymore about politics here, usually it ends up in harsh words, especially between germans and americans!

Do you actually believe that he would admit he's wrong? Look at what he said about the election, he can't even get what network said what right. I can say one thing for him, he is a master of twisting facts, and a very good shepard.
