The latest rumor swirling around Guns N' Roses is that the long over-due "Chinese Democracy" is complete and with the label but a new battle has emerged that is causing further delay.
We don't know how much stock to put into third or fourth generation rumors, but the word on the street is that Axl has turned in the CD to Geffen at long last but no release date is in sight because Axl and the label can not agree on the marketing of the album.
Are we closer to Chinese Democracy? We have no idea but we are hopeful. We have yet to hear back with the official denials or "no comment" from the GNR or Geffen camp but we'll keep you posted on what we hear officially or hearsay. Again this is all but rumor at this point , besides rumors are more fun than official news anyway.

How many people actually care by now? First this album is what...10 or more years in the making and second, it's really not Guns N Roses.
Another question I have is how much of this album is from the original recordings? As time went by did he keep rerecording songs? For those that actually might be interested, is this album going to have any kind of continuity? I wouldn't think so.

Colour me "ignorant", but I never did, and still don't understand what all the fuss was, or is, regarding this group? I must have missed something in the late 80's and early 90's and for what it's worth,...I'm glad I did. I do recall the day sitting in the Lakeshore Hotel, watching the MTV debut of "Sweet Child O' Mine" and commenting that the vocalist sounded eerily similar to the deceased vocalist of Prism.?...that and the fact that Billy Squier had nothing to worry about in regards to stage presence in the way that he moved...hahahahahahaha. However...Slash has a hat and Axel has an attitude...good to go I guess? These days, if the average tv viewer sees a person wearing a tall black hat on tv, they'd have a better chance relating it to Slash instead of Abe Lincoln...cool! ;D Bring on Chinese Democracy...Guns and Roses can pick up where they left off in 19whatever??? In the meantime, I'll quietly await the next Springsteen release because the last one was FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Funny how that works huh?...ya just don't get much bullshit with a real musician now do ya???.......... Thanks Kim

Hurry up Axl and release the damn thing so that I can download it Seriously..in this day and age do they think that they'll even be able to sell CLOSE to what they would need to in order to make even a profit off of this album? Last time I heard Axl's spent over 10 million of Geffen and Interscope's money so far....they'd have to have the biggest selling album of all time to make it worthwhile. Of course, something is better than nothing.

Embark on a MAJOR world tour and give it away with EVERY ticket sold...it could then be possible the biggest seller in a LONG time...
I don't care, I STILL want to hear this album...reports from the tours they have done in the past couple of years or so say that the new songs are quite good...so I'll wait...
And I'll wait patiently for Night Castle as well, although I do believe we will see it this spring / early summer.
