You know the scene..you're cruising through your collection, you stop momentarily, think about putting it on, then for some reason you go "No, I'm not in the mood for that" and always pick something else? Are there bands that you like, but for some reason or another, when you go to listen to something you never pick any of their music to listen to?

Rush,Triumph, & the Scorpions off of the top of my head. I really liked Rush a lot up until Moving Pictures. When I do pull them out I love it but I often skip over them.
I was at Borders the other day & seen the new Twisted Sister DVD & picked it up. Whenever I hear the name Twisted Sister I immediately think of their cartoonish mid/late 80's era often forgetting about 'Under the Blade' & 'You Can't Stop R & R' which are 2 phenominal albums that I've been listening to since I bought the DVD.

Since I've been using the Flash Player for a year or so now, I find that the vast majority of my albums have been neglected. I find it so much easier to slap on the cans & plug into these little gizmos, and I'm good to go for the entire day without having to stop and switch albums. Even the 512mg holds over 120 tunes and that's enough to keep me going regardless of what I'm involved with. The odd time however, I'll hear a select track and go, "damn, that whole album is good" and proceed to disconnect and plug into the stereo and throw on the album from which it came from. Not all that often though as I have both the 512 and 2gig units filled with enough music to hold my interest for a looooong time. The only other instance that I get to play portions of "neglected" albums is when I'm making "illegal" various or assorted song cds for myself or my wife for use in the car. That's when I pull out the "legal" store bought cd's that I paid for "legally" and choose a song or two from each and "illegally" transfer them onto an "illegal" blank cd that I purchased "legally", using my "illegal" cd burner that came with my computer that I bought and paid for "legally" I then put the "illegal" copy into my stereo that I paid for "legally" and "illegally listen to it to see how it sounds. I then "illegally" scan the album cover that I paid for "legally" with the scanner I bought "legally" and then "illegally" print out a copy to insert into the "legally" purchased jewel case used to hold "illegal" copies of cds. For the most part, I try not to listen to much music at all because it's "illegal" in the manner that I do so? Either that or I try and watch tv as long as it's not an "illegally" taped broadcast that I may have missed the night before. If it is...I usually head'er to bed...cuz last time I checked...THAT was still "legal". Thanks Kim

Most Metal. Old Metallica, Metal Church, Megadeth. Even Accept and U.D.O. Still like them, but rarely listen to them.
Lynyrd Skynyrd is another one.
Led Zeppelin too.

The Beatles for me. Still one of my favorites, but other than the 'Love' CD, I can't remember the last time I pulled out a Beatles album and actually LISTENED to it.

As long as it's a "legal" Beatles cd...you should be okay Night... ;D Just don't listen to it more than once and don't mention the fact that you did in the first place...ya never know who's watching...or reading this post...(which is illegal isn't it) as it's a "duplication of processes is it not? .....hahahahahahahahaha Thanks Kim

Every now and then I pull up Pink Floyd's 'Meddle' or 'Animals' up on the Ipod, but other than that....I haven't listened to much of them in the last few years.
The Beatles I don't put on much, but you still here enough of them wherever you go. Still love 'em....but I listed to so much of them when I was young.
Zeppelin I listen to on XM channel 59 when the other stations are playing shit. I can always count on the Zeppelin channel for backup....except when they are playing "Stairway To Heaven' or "Black Dog". Other than that....I don't make it a point to listen to them at home.
Sabbath I still listen to every now and then but it is more the stuff you didn't hear much of back in the day like 'Technical Ecstasy', 'Born Again', or 'Never Say Die'.
Thin Lizzy is one of my favorite all time bands....but I can go long periods of time before I listen to them. I had a huge Lizzy addiction from when I was 17-25.
For some reason As much as I have listened to them over the last 25 years, classic Iron Maiden and Priest I never get tired of. Especially Maiden.
