For the Floyd fans... Favourite track?...how come? A couple of the tracks have been played commercially to death over the last 30 some odd years...but...still classics to say the least. Better yet, indicate when you first heard the album...kinda like the moon landing...everyone pretty much remembers where they were...hahahahahahahaha. I'll never forget hearing it for the first time...WOW...what a trip! Thanks Kim

Another tough one. Time is a fantastic song but I chose Money because as a kid I thought it was cool that they used the word bullsh*t in the lyrics.

It's always hard for me to pick one song off of any Pink Floyd album, their albums just need to be listened to as a whole. That being said I voted for Us and Them, just a great laid back relaxing tune.

IMO Money is a cool tune that got played to death.
That said ... I voted for On The Run. I've always found that track fascinating.
At one time Pete did a FABULOUS post explaining that song ... I didn't have the sense to save it and it's gone now. Pete, could you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE post your explanation of that song again?

You should have, in this particular poll, given us the choice of "the whole album." I never listen to this album as individual songs. I always listen to the whole thing as one.
Well, not true. I play along to "Time" occasionally, just to keep the solo on the tip of my fingers.

I didn't have the sense to save it and it's gone now. Pete, could you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE post your explanation of that song again? I wish you would have I'm not sure which explanation I posted. Anyway I always interpreted the song as people always literally being on the run... and the non stop modern manic life style, never stopping to breathe in the air and realize whats important. In the end we crash and burn like at the end of the song and run out of time and are sent off to the great gig in the sky. I've also read somewhere that Roger had a dream that was part inspiration for the song. He was trying to catch a flight and he was running and running to catch the flight and he missed it and as he looked out the hangar window he saw the airplane he was supposed to catch explode. I have also read that Richard Wright has or has had a fear of travel and flying which was part of the inspiration for the song.

Thanks, Pete!
Those other things were interesting too. I enjoy hearing about the stories behind songs.

If Brain Damage and Eclipse would have been one vote I would have voted for that but it's not so I voted for Us And Them. I love the whole album.
