Although there are quite a few Priest fans out there that would consider other releases higher up on the scale than this one, I put it out for tender not only because I think it's a great album but because awhile back, there was an hour long documentary on the making of this album.
I found it quite interesting to say the least...and piqued my interest as to why they would pick this release as well?
Pretty simple and straightforward by todays standards but the damn thing is timeless and in some ways really exemplifies what true metal is all about.
As with the other Classic Albums...pick a track and tell us why if you could...
Any thoughts?
Thanks Kim

"Breakin' The Law" was always dear to me for certain reasons which I will take to my grave, however, "United" is just as good and was far more unrrated IMO.

I like Living After Midnight. Maybe because of air play, but it's the first song I heard from them.

Living After Midnight
I've always liked that song.
I like the British Steel album a lot! I've got copies on both vinyl and CD.

Metal Gods. Living After Midnight is too pedantic for me. I can't listen to "Breaking The Law" anymore because I'm always reminded of that atrocious video.

Living After Midnight Back in the day, I had no idea Rob's lyrics were totally homo.... Rob admitted many of his lyrics were "clues"I still love the song, I just try to ignore the lyrics.

Rapid Fire for me...the twin trade off attack of Downing and Tipton at 10 on the volume can rip your lungs out! Great song...comes close in my faves to the song Painkiller!

"Breaking the Law" - Never been a huge fan of this album, even back when it was released & I was a huge JP fan, not so much anymore.
