JOE LYNN TURNER (RAINBOW, DEEP PURPLE, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN) has been working on helping to put together the "super group" BIG NOIZE for several months. With the line-up now shored up, Big Noize will travel to Nashville, TN to film a DVD.
The band includes: JLT, guitarist Carlos Cavazo (QUIET RIOT), drummer Vinny Appice (DIO, BLACK SABBATH), bassist Phil Soussan (OZZY OSBOURNE, BILLY IDOL) and keyboardist Gary Corbett (CINDERELLA, LOU GRAMM).
Current plans focus on marketing the DVD to the corporate concert industry but a commercial release in the future has not been ruled out. The repertoire will feature well-known songs from each artist's catalogue.
More details as they surface.

Joe Lynn Turner is an outstanding vocalist...and I like pretty much everything he's done. I don't know if I'd call this a "SuperGroup", though. And yeah, the name of the band is........well, kinda' stupid. They might kick some ass, though. We'll see.

I'm a big fan of JLT, but neither this line up nor the name thrill me.

Decent lineup, but just hearing them doing cover versions doesn't excite me that much. As a band name, it's right up there with Supernova. Must've taken them at least a minute to think that one up

....not a bad lineup but the name is pretty weak... My thoughts exactly. Should be a good band! I will keep my eyes and ears open for it.

Agreed - JLT sings great & his 2 cover CD releases were OK, but he does tend to get himself dragged into nostalgia type events, etc. I last caught him live with the Voices Of Classic Rock Tour, I think in 2001 or 2, great bands or line ups. Glenn Hughes was there, Pat Travers, Mike "I'm the big man" Reno, Spencer Davis, John Cafferty, Bobby Kimball, to name a few that night ...., sorry guys, on the road with work, so I can't go pull out the ticket stub for more details right now. I did see him on the Difficult To Cure tour with Rainbow back when ..., but those are the only 2 times I got to see him live. Great voice indeed. Vinnie on drums & Phil on bass are a great power rhythm section, but Carlos is OK, not great & as for Gary Corbett, sorry but he a backing member for all intents & purposes - Please prove me wrong! A stronger name on guitar would've really done the trick though but ....., we'll see! Cozy Al
