So you're making a CD of best live cuts... what would you have on it? I just made one at home, and I like it. But once I pulled outall of my Live stuff I realized that I'm gonna have to make more then one.

Here's the one I just did, what would you put on yours? (BTW I used an 80 minute CD)

Just What the Doctor Ordered- Ted Nugent- Double Live Gonzo
Always good to start with Uncle Ted. Stranglhold is good, but it's longer, which takes up space for something else, and it gets worn out on classic rock stations anyway.

In The City- The Eagles- Hell freezes Over
My fave on that eagles CD

Godzilla- BOC- Extraterrestrials Live
Classic. Like this version better than the one on Some enchanted evening


Statesboro Blues- Allman Bros- At Fillmore East
Fillmore east is great, my other choices would have been too long...


Ain't That a Shame- Cheap Trick- At Budokan
Ain't that a shame just gets me fired up every time.

I Just Wanna Make Love to You- Foghat- Foghat Live
Could've taken any of the songs off thid one

Going to California- Led Zeppelin- How the West Was Won
One of the best cuts on a great cd. My other choices would have taken up 25% of the CD.

Blue Collar Man- Styx- Return to Paradise
Gotta have my Styx Fix

Highway Star- Deep purple- Made in Japan
My other choice was Space Truckin (too long)

Lines on my Face- Peter Frampton- Frampton Comes Alive
Toss up from about five songs, Peter's guitar play on this one gives it the nod.

Voodoo Child- Stevie ray vaughn- Live Alive
Love this one

Like a Hurricane- Neil Young- Live Rust

I don't know if I have enough "live" material on hand to make up an entire disk???

I'd definitely have to include the live version of Dire Straits "Telegraph Road" just to help fill the void here...hahaha.

Also, I'm wondering if Fermenter Habit will pick up on the "Voodoo Child" thing???...I was pretty much corrected in that the title is "Voodoo Chile"...even though SRV actually threw a "d" at the end instead of an "e"... ;D...

I hadn't even thought about Telegraph Road because it is on a complilation CD (Money for nothin") instead of a live album.

But it will definitely be on my next effort! Good call!
