I could go on and on in naming some of Stevies' great tracks but I stopped at the ones I did...simply because it doesn't take many to make anyone realize this guy was and is today a pure genious!
Yes, I realize that he is no longer with us but man...is his legacy ever alive and well!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOyeaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!
Let's give it up for the man...
If you wanna pick more than just one...state them in your post...and by all means mention the others that aren't on the list.
I can't pick just one...just too damn many great tunes!
"Pride And Joy" is enough to make any man weep...
Thanks Kim

I figured as much...but once again...in posting this thread, I went with what was written on the cd in hand. As erroneous as it may be indicated, who am I to question the printed word??? hahahahahaha. Kinda like questioning the Beatles tune "She Loves You..."...should it be "Yeah Yeah Yeah"...or YA YA YA??? Depends on the region, dialect and moreover the simple regard or "lack of therein" in terms of semantics in general I would have to surmise? Good call though Pyre!!! Also, for what it's worth...the rest of you folks have more guts than I have...damned if I can pick just one...uh uh...no way...can't do it!!!!!! Thanks Kim

And which Stevie Ray Vaughan CD was that which said Voodoo Child? Cause my Live at el macambo DVD says Chile. This and this also says Chile. And while we're on the subject this, this, this, this, this, and this also says Chile.

And which Stevie Ray Vaughan CD was that which said Voodoo Child? Cause my Live at el macambo DVD says Chile. This and this also says Chile. And while we're on the subject this, this, this, this, this, and this also says Chile. First of all, let me say "Welcome to the RnR Universe board. I'm just a casual poster here yet I love all of the great folks that are part of this site. They are more than willing to share their knowledge and well respected experience regarding all things related to music...regardless of what genre they are into. With that in mind, I am but one wee little fella that likes to try and share the same sort of information if I can...when I can. Sometimes I'm right, sometimes I'm wrong...when I'm wrong...I'm the first one to hammer myself...what I do like to see though is when someone corrects me in diplomatic and friendly fashion...i.e. through the use of humour or through the use of an informative addy that will direct me to the truth in regards to information that I sometimes am in dire need of...or at the very least...information directed to me in a constructive yet offensive manner. Getting back to the Stevie Ray Vaughan "name game", I must reiteraate that I did mention that you were probably most certainly correct in your assumption of the track title...once again...I agree. Your not only 7, but 8 fine examples have proven so. I would like to point out however that in reviewing my earlier post, I did mention that I only posted what I was able to transpose from the album of his that I am proud to be an owner of...please read the earlier post. I have no reason to lie, fabricate, or dictate otherwise to any degree for any reason whatsoever...therefore if you require further proof of what my reasoning behind my statement was...please see the attached scanned image...track 16. Maybe I just happen to have a rare copy with a misprint?...lucky for me...I could always sell it on EBay and make a few bucks...and a point at the same time...hahaha. Thanks Kim

Hmm, I was under the assumption that your last post was sarcastic, hence my post may have been a little crude.

Hey Kim...I have the same collectors edition as you do then...mines the same...
Also, my Live at Montreaux CD by Stevie has the same spelling...hmmm...
Anyway...for the sake of who's right and who's wrong...who cares...we all know what you were talking about...
Keep up the good work Kim!

Hmm, I was under the assumption that your last post was sarcastic, hence my post may have been a little crude. No worries...your post was not crude. Yes I can be a tad sarcastic to some degree...but know one thing...my responses are not meant to be sarcastic to any personal extent to the person posting...maybe to the article in question...but never...EVER...towards the person themselves... I have too much respect for each and every member of this group and I'll be darned if I could ever let myself attack any of them for any reason...these people are my friends. My previous post regarding the semantical wording of The Beatles for example was in part just an example that illustrates that terminology of the written word can be deciphered in many ways...no sarcastic harm intended. Also, my stand behind "Voodoo Chile" was one that I took on what I have in hand as previously stated. For what it's worth, I questioned it myself during my original post. I agree...it should be Voodoo Chile. I'm glad that you took the time to question it. Makes us all that much more informed and enlightened... Once again Hab... welcome to the board...there are many a great and informed folks here...enjoy what they have to offer...respect them for who they are and what they have to say, for they are the crux that makes this site as great as it is. Thanks Kim

Somehow I missed this thread when it was first posted . Anyhow, I'll go with the tried and true "Crossfire". Probably more Pop than anything Stevie's done with his solo career, but I still can't help but move to it.
