Which artist is coming to your town this summer? Whether it be in festival format or concert venue depending on the size of the burg in which you reside in. Are you going to check them out? Reason I ask is because if i want to see any sort of headliner, I have to travel 3-4 hours South to "Teranna" or Toronto for the rest of you may know it as...haha. That being the case, I have yet to hear what we here in the North can expect for the festival we host ever summer. Rumour has it that the North Bay Heritage festival will be hosting "Our Lady Peace" and none other than "Stompin' Tom Connors"...(Rush will get a kick out of that one hahahaha.) So far, it looks kinda bleak and if history proves to be consistent, I'll be fueling up the car for a gig in the South if I want to catch anyone of any half decent calibre. I was hoping the guy in charge of this years festival was right in telling me that they were trying to get The Steve Miller Band here but so far it's not come to fruition from what I understand? Damn! Anyway...what's the attraction coming to your town? Thanks Kim

Seriously, it would easier for me to list who's not coming here. Every month there's several national acts in town and in a month and half Milwaukee hosts the worlds largest music festival.

LOL Pete, me too..............I know at our new ampitheater Ozzfest is in June and in August Def Leppard and Journey are playing and I will be there, should be a great show. Living just outside of Seattle, almost everyone comes here either to a small casino type setting, or to one of the major domes, or to one of our ampitheaters..........just need to find the time and money to go see them.

I live 1 1/2 to 2 hours from Cleveland, Columbus, Pittsburgh, and Wheeling. So anyone that tours will be close to me somewhere.
I prefer going to Cleveland as Blossom, HOB, Quicken loans Arena, Scene Pavillion, Tower City, the Agora are all about an hour and 20 minutes from my hometown. Columbus is furthest at about 2 hours. My list would be giant and I am too lazy to type it.

Omaha has a "Playing with Fire" festival this summer that features great blues artists. Among them, Joe Bonamassa, Albert Cummings, and Walter Trout. Never been much of a Trout fan, but I will certainly be seeing the other two !
P.S. They're outdoors and free !

Instead, why not just spend the ticket money on another case of beer and we'll just Stomp around in my back yard? Besides, if ole Tom himself is in town for a gig, I'm sure he'd show up at my place if he knew there was a free beer in it for him? Hell...maybe I'll even make some Bologna sandwiches and Tom and the rest of us here can revisit the good ole days when he was down and out in Larder Lake and broke Bologna with us then before moving on to the big time in Timmins?...hahaha. Seriously, I'm glad to hear that Hodgson is on the road again. I wonder if he'll make his way through here again? Tragically Hip sounds good as well. Thanks Kim

Basically, it seems like nobody on a national or international level comes to Tulsa anymore. Tulsa is about 20 years behind the curve when it comes to building a newer, bigger & better arena and therefore bands that typically play arenas never play in Tulsa anymore.....they skip right over us and play in Oklahoma City. On rare occasion, someone will throw us a bone and a band that plays smaller (much smaller) venues will come to town. In March, The Cult played here at a small concert hall. In 3 days from now, Styx will be playing at another relatively small concert hall here also. The only arena band to play here recently was Motley Crue. I think Def Leppard might have played here recently as well. Bottom line is, I can count on one hand the number of classic rock or popular rock bands that have played in Tulsa the past 12 months. Sad, I know...
