I know it's been played to death but I really like Hotel California. The guitars are really good.

I went with Hotel California...overplayed or not, I still consider it the best track on the album...on an ALBUM that is WAY too overplayed.

Hotel California (a rock classic and believe it or not an actual hotel in France) - Victim of Love is really good too though.

I learned the entire Eagles catalog in college. Randy Meisner was always my favorite mostly because my voice is in the same range and so his songs were my favorite to perform live.
Hence, "Try And Love Again."
"Pretty Maids" was a great song too, but it sounded more like a Walsh solo song. It would have fit nicely on But Seriously, Folks.

Desperado was always THE Eagles album for me, although this is a close second.
I chose New Kid in Town. Just love the harmonies on it, even if the electric piano sounds dated.
But the album is packed with classics. I could have picked any track off here (except the Reprise of course), and been happy in the knowledge that I'd made a good choice.

Much like Led Zeppelin and Lynyrd Skynyrd, I overplayed the Eagles so much in my youth that I really don't have much time for them anymore. I know "Hotel California" is a classic, but I never listen to it anymore. That said, I still crank "Life In The Fast Lane" everytime I hear it.

I know it's been played to death but I really like Hotel California. The guitars are really good. Ditto. And I just love the lyrics too. To a sheltered child in 1976, they were among the most fascinating things I'd ever heard up until then.
