Bob Seger refused initially to using his song on any commercial! He was approached by some GM auto workers and asked why he wasn't help to support keeping jobs in this country. He was told it could only help. He had a change of heart and decided to let it be used. I also heard that he gets a new pickup for free every year for doing it too. I would have done the same. It's the only airplay I heard from him for a long time.

Personally, I hate classic rock songs used in commercials.........especially any Led Zeppelin or Aerosmith's classic Dream On.........kind of irritates me ;D Everything Aerosmith has done in the past 15-20 years has irritated me! ;D

Are there any companies left that haven't used Born To Be Wild or Magic Carpet Ride. BTBW has just been beat to a pulp and has also been used in over 35 movies. I called a Chevy dealer today and their "on hold" music was MCR. And that bothered you? I'd be like hell yeah
