For your consideration, and overall approval...I'd like to submit this timely classic. I have to include this one because I realize that it is a time honored classic. I'll be honest and up front about this one...I don't understand what all the hub-bub was, or is, regarding this album, but I must say one thing...and that is, that "I am totally wrong to say that this album isn't a good one!!!!!!! Millions upon millions of folks could not have been wrong in liking this one...however, I have yet to cross over to the dark side and accept it as one worthy of a spot in my collection...that's just me...but I am not blind to the popularity of a quality piece of music such as this. I'm thinking that it may just take a little while longer before it bites me in the ass and captures me as a fan? ?? I don't know what it is, but I just never did give in to the attitude and feel of that album???. I was always the guy taking a break from the dance floor when any song from this album came on. Is it a classic? Yep!!!!...I think it is!!! That's why I thought I'd post it here...too many people over the years have stood behind it and as much as I can say little about it, it surely must have something worthy of being one of the greats...the votes will tell the story! Thanks Kim

I never ever got into Meatloaf. I remember being bored to tears by him on the Old Grey Whistle Test. That whole pseudo rock-opera stuff just never did it for me.
Each to their own, but nah, it's just not for me.

I went with You Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth. However, the whoe album (actually anything by Meat Loaf) is great in my mind. The only thing is I don't think Dead Ringer For Love was on Bat Out Of Hell. I believe it was on the Dead Ringer album (which may have been the follow up to Bat Out Of Hell).

I've always liked Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad. A bit sappy but still good.

Went with Bat Out Of Hell...
The last three songs listed, don't belong on the album do they? Or are you listing songs from an expanded version? Dead Ringer For Love was on the follow up to Bat Out Of Hell and features Cher rocking out with Meat Loaf...great song.

Quite possibly Rush. I took the songs from the Amazon.com listing because I don't have the original album.
Disregard those that are extra's unless anyone that has the newer release feels that they would like to vote for the extra tracks. The purists will know which ones to vote for however.
Thanks for pointing that out Rush. My apologies for this one.
Thanks Kim

I'm with you Kim as far as not quite getting what all the hub-bub is about on this album. Even amongst Meatloaf records, I'd say this is probably his 3rd or 4th best. Still, using the numbers game, it's gotta be considered a "Classic" and there are some good songs on here. The title song gets my vote.

Paradise for me... mostly for the memories....
I remember the radio stations up here were playing a specially made version with Dick Stockton (Red Sox announcer) doing the Phil Rizzuto part. I'd love to have that 45! I bet it's worth a couple coins.

This is another tough one. Only in the sense that the way I see this album is a little over half the songs are really good and the rest are only *EH*, you know?
On my copy on vinyl which I bought brand new back in 1977, still have, am holding in my hands right now, this is the track listing:
Side 1 1. Bat Out Of Hell 2. You Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth (Hot Summer Night) 3. Heaven Can Wait 4. All Revved Up With No Place To Go
Side 2 1. Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad 2. Paradise By The Dashboard Light I. Paradise II. Let Me Sleep On It III. Praying For The End Of Time 3. For Crying Out Loud
I like the wit (?) of You Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth.
I must be in the mood to support the underdogs tonight. Since nobody voted for it I'm going to say All Revved Up With No Place No Go. I think that's one that got overlooked just because of all the other songs that were hits.
Anyone remember when Meat Loaf was on Saturday Night Live at the time?

They had a great group of musicians and a top notch producer on this one. Todd Rundgren produced, and he and his band Utopia (Sulton, Powell, and Wilcox) did all the playing (with some sax help from Edgar Winter.
Maybe it was because it came out when i was a senior in highschool and everything was great back then, but this album IS a classic for me.

Uhhh...I know...that was my fault because I took the album track contents from Amazon.com.
My fault and I apologize for that.
Apparently, the album now contains "extra" tracks, and is marketed as such.
Best to vote for the first one on the album.
Again, I apologize for this. I'll endeavour to list only the original listings in future Classic Album forums.
Thanks Kim
