You're right about "Ain't Superstitious." I confuse it sometimes with "Superstition," which, while not technically a Beck tune, was written by Stevie Wonder FOR the Jeff Beck Group. SRV did a nice version of it, too. Somewhere on the net there is floating around a version of Van Halen doing "Beer Drinkers and Hell Raisers," which is fitting, because Billy Gibbons used two-handed tapping on it, long before Van Halen came out. Actually 'Superstitition' was originally on Stevie Wonder's 'Talking Book' album which Jeff Beck worked on. Jeff loved the tune so much he recorded it with Carmine and Tim for the BB&A album. That's the point I was making. Stevie wrote it for Jeff. It was Jeff's vehicle. Where it appeared first is beside the point.

I love the way Van Halen did "You're No Good". So completely different from the original. And Dave's screams and Ed's guitar...going back and forth like that....awesome! Good one Susie!

That's right! I forgot they covered that, it was on the Less Than Zero soundtrack along with a bunch of other cover songs. The way Slayer remakes that is similar to the way the Goo Goo Dolls covered Sunshine Of Your Love,Don't Fear the Reaper,& Gimme Shelter from their out of print first 2 albums
