Not many bands can even keep the same line up together for 3 albums in a row, let alone come out with an album that rocks for their 3rd try. Here are a few that have succeeded in putting out a rockin' album third time around with a given lineup:
Strikes-Blackfoot Somewhere In Time-Iron Maiden Where We All Belong-Marshall Tucker Band Tres Hombres-ZZ Top Offering-Axe Pieces Of Eight-Styx Flesh And Blood-Poison Eye Of The Tiger-Survivor
Hmm, I know there aren't many, but I thought there is more than this.

AEROSMITH-Toys In The Attic Song List 1. Toys In The Attic 2. Uncle Salty 3. Adam's Apple 4. Walk This Way 5. Big Ten Inch Record 6. Sweet Emotion 7. No More No More 8. Round And Round 9. You See Me Crying On certain days, I'd say their fourth album 'Rocks' is even slightly better.

AEROSMITH-Toys In The Attic Song List 1. Toys In The Attic 2. Uncle Salty 3. Adam's Apple 4. Walk This Way 5. Big Ten Inch Record 6. Sweet Emotion 7. No More No More 8. Round And Round 9. You See Me Crying On certain days, I'd say their fourth album 'Rocks' is even slightly better. ...A personal favorite here. Special mention: Adams Apple practically unknown, but a gem of hard rock, a diamond, really. Back in the day this record was of the most radically hard music you could find... This one, Heart and then Ted Nugent... Then came Van Halen and all hell broke loose. Our world started rockin! (Here in the central valley of California, that is...) -trexx
