Jim started a thread on Debut albums or first albums with a new lineup that kicked ass, I've noticed some cases where the second album with a given lineup is a creative landmark. Some examples:
Flirtin' With Disaster-Molly Hatchet Silent Reign Of Heroes-Molly Hatchet (Ok, not AS great as "Devils Canyon", but close enough to be my 2nd favorite MH album ever!) Flyin' High-Blackfoot Breaker-Accept Keeper Of The Seven Keys (part II)-Helloween Ride The Lightning-Metallica Metallica-Metallica Countdown To Extinction-Megadeth The Human Factor-Metal Church Edge Of Forever-Lynyrd Skynyrd Rio Grande Mud-ZZ Top In The Spirit Of Things-Kansas Full Moon-Charlie Daniels Band Wake Of Magellan-Savatage Hall Of The Mountain King-Savatage A New Life-Marshall Tucker Band Rumors-Fleetwood Mac Heart-Heart Silk And Steel-Giuffria
Others?
