After the first one the PROS get involved. You know, the critics, executives and other cling on's. Try to fix something that isn't broken. Mold it into THEIR image. It's the ones who fight back and tell them to Jerk off! That stay great.

HUGE! SCARY QUANTITY OF QUALITY!
Comments:
The Scorpions had a transformation since their early days that made them better and better. I love Lonesome Crow, but it shows much contrast to, let's say, Black-Out. Both excellent, but miles apart.
-UFO- Always growing, changing and except for a few choice live crowd pleasers, were not and are not mainstream rock. To me they're the english dudes like many others, that got all enamored with American blues and once mastered, they took off and grew in scope and maturity and it hasn't stopped in almost thirty years!
Michael Schenker
Greater than great! Something tells me that he's never been a toadie to corporate masters. Has anybody ever counted how many releases he's had? I think it's around thirty albums. He's like the Picasso of hard rock in proliferation... eg; Picasso created something like 4000 drawings, 1300 paintings, 800 sculptures... (That's more than one a day)

Some firsts that I thought kicked butt:
Pearl Jam - Ten Alice in Chains - Facelift (they did release an EP first) Mother Love Bone - Apple (Sadly, this was their first and last, they did release an EP before Apple) Ratt - Out of the Cellar (again, they had an EP first) GnR - Appetite for Destruction (another band who had an EP out first)
Does anyone know why EP's are always released first before a full length album?

Maybe it's a band putting their money where their mouth is? They can aford to cut a few songs and print & press the Ep's. When I lived in LA, all the time in clubs bands were walking around passing out free ep's. Thats how I got a copy of the first Motly Crue & WASP recordings.
