Had a blast at the Whitesnake show last night. David Coverdale can still bring it. His voice may not be what it used to be but he's sure a lot better than Vince Niel.
I got to the Potowatomi Bingo and Casino Classic Rock Stage brought to you by Miller Lite and 97.3 The Brew 80s rock and more at about 5:30pm. I secured a picnic table to save for me and my friends who will be arriving later.
When I got there a cover band called Sonic Circus was on stage. www.soniccircus.net/ They where kind of corny but a lot of fun and sounded good. They played: AC/DC, Velvet Revolver, Boston, Bon Jovi, Guns and Roses, Def Leppard, Kansas, Journey, Styx, Twisted Sister, Slade etc. They had a rather large following of their own there.
The next band was probably the best cover band I've ever heard called Rhythm Method. www.rhythmmethodmilwaukee.com/home.html Playing stuff like Zep, BOC, Boston, AC/DC lots of good stuff.
Then Whitesnake!!
* Burn/Stormbringer
* Bad Boys
* Ready an' Willing
* Love Ain't No Stranger
* Ain't No Love In The Heart Of The City
* Slow an' Easy
* Judgment Day
* Crying In The Rain
* Is This Love
* Slide It In
* Give Me All Your Love
* Here I Go Again
* Feeling Hot/Take Me With You
* Still Of The Night
Tommy Aldridge had an amazing drum solo I'm not sure where exactly but he was nuts. he ended up just banging the hell out the drums with his fists. Coverdale was in top form and sounded great. The rest of the band where all very good! It was a great show. IMO they blow the Crue away by a mile. My only complaint was the show was only about 1hr 15 min.
overall had a great time. If you get the chance go see Whitesnake. They still rock!
