Anyone like him? I think he's OK don't have any of his stuff but a friend talked me into going to his show here Friday. Has anyone seen him?

I like some of the man's music...and some of it doesn't do a thing for me. His cover of American Woman a couple of years ago was gawd-awful, though. But, he's basically a rocker...and I can forgive a true rocker a mistake or two. Never seen him live...probably never will. With ticket prices the way they are, I have to be pretty "into" a band to go see them play. Lenny's okay, but I don't like him THAT much.

Except for we have a great medium to small size venue here that gets a lot of national acts but ticket prices are never more than around $20.00

I've not seen him, but hope to one day. I have quite a few of his albums, and actually think they are quite good. A mixed blend of musical styles. Doesn't rock out on the entire album, has some R & B sounding stuff, some ballad type stuff, a good mix.

I actuallyed liked his cover of American Woman... But really he has some good stuff. However, his last CD wasn't that great. After Where We Runnin, California and Lady it's a hit or miss album.

I'd say my favorite is "A Million Miles Away" and I'm playing it at the present time.

I hear he is high all the time. He probably isn't in shape to give the best concert that he can.

I LOVE Lenny's music. I have all his CDs (even the not so great new one, Baptism). My favorite is still Circus (1995). He wrote that one while his mother (Roxy Roker of The Jefferson's TV show) was dying. It is darker and more emotional that some of the others. I can't stand his cover of American Woman and was not pleased a few years ago when a new song came out on a Chevy commercial before the CD was released. I wanted to see him this summer on tour. He was supposed to play at an outdoor amphitheater in my state but of course the tour was canceled. I have a friend that saw him open for the Rolling Stones many years ago and said he was fantastic, really held his own. I guess I have to wait until next year. But I will see him on the next tour...whenever it is no matter the cost. I have an awesome live acoustic CD recorded in Florida in 1993. I like his classic rock sound but enjoy his lyrics even more. His music has a 'soul' for lack of a better word - even though his sound/style is sometimes derivative. I enjoyed the work he did with Mick Jagger on his 2001 solo effort Goddess In The Doorway. In particular "God Gave Me Everything". He is one of those few artists that I will follow through a string of bad times and so so releases (or lack there of) because I know it will pay off in the end - it has to because in my opinion he is just that good of an artist.
