www.contactmusic.com/new/xmlfeed.nsf/mndwebpages/waters%20taking%20the%20wall%20to%20the%20stageVeteran PINK FLOYD rocker ROGER WATERS is adapting the band's classic album THE WALL into a stage musical - and he's recruiting leading players in London's theatre world to work on the project. First on the bassist's hit list is writer LEE HALL, who will begin work on The Wall when he has finished collaborating with director STEPHEN DALDRY on the BILLY ELLIOT musical. Waters is also chasing director ADRIAN NOBLE to helm the musical - but he is committed to other stage shows and has a movie, PAPA, scheduled for filming, so he won't be able to join the stage production until next year (06). The Wall was famously made into a movie starring SIR BOB GELDOF and BOB HOSKINS in 1982, and a special live adaptation was performed in Berlin after the wall there was dismantled in 1989.
