What new music are we looking forward to hearing in 2019? For me, supposedly Molly Hatchet is working on getting an album of new material out by Spring. Also, yet another, live album...… Not sure if I care about that as much. Lynyrd Skynyrd also is working on one last studio album for 2019 release Blackberry Smoke will probably have another album too as they seem to release one every year as if we were still in the 1970's. Beyond that, I'm not too worked up about new music anymore. Spacel0rd has been posting the best songs of 2018 on Facebook. Most are good, but nothing that I need in my collection. If his postings truly are the "best of 2018", it was a bad year for music.

Looking forward to Vivian Campbell and Last In Line's new album. I liked the first album quite a bit and I am a big fan of Vivian. His last album with the Riverdogs was really good to. Also Last In Line's singer Andrew Freeman is also the new singer for Lies, Deceit and Treachery....which is Mick Sweda, Lonny Vincent, and Jimmy D'Anda of the Bulletboys. I was a fan of the first two Bulletboys albums and also a fan of Mick Sweda as a player.....so I am hoping these guys release something soon.
Accept is supposed to be working on a new album....but original bassist, cofounder and songwriter Peter Baltes left that band...which is a huge loss. Still will be curious about a new album from them.
Michael Kiske and Kai Hansen have returned to Helloween and now they are a seven piece band. They release one new song and toured. Would like to hear a new album from them in 2019. I don't care for any of the albums after Kiske left in the 90's. I was a huge fan of the Hansen and Kiske eras....so having them back renews my interest. Hoping they put out a new album in the new year.
New Candlemass album is supposed to come out in February. I am a fan of their bass players other projects like Doomsday Kingdom and Avatarium....so I am interested in hearing new music from them. Apparently their original singer is back.

I forgot about Helloween. I wouldn't be surprised if they did a full album this year. I'd buy it!
Side note on Accept: Peter Baltes used to live in my area. When Accept reunited around 2005-06, he moved to Nashville near where guitarist Wolf Hoffmann lived. Now that he's out of Accept, I think he's back in my area. Two people I know said they ran into him recently!

I thought Peter Baltes lived in Pennsylvania somewhere. Is that where you live Jesse? I didn't think he moved away from that area....even when Accept reformed. I know Wolf lives in Nashville and Michael Wagner's studio in on Wolf's property.

I know Wolf lives in Nashville and Michael Wagner's studio in on Wolf's property. Yeah, I live about an hour North of Philadelphia. I used to run into Baltes a lot and talked to him enough to know that he was the driving force in getting Accept back together again without UDO. Hadn't seen him since they reunited with Mark Tornillo as singer. A friend of mine who knows a lot more about Accept than I ever will told me that Baltes had moved to Nashville area to be near Wolf. True or not, like I said, I hadn't seen him in years after a few years of running into him once or twice a year. Once he stopped by the family farm market with Wolf! Wolf apparently lives next door to David Corlew who is Charlie Daniels' manager.

I am worrying a bit about new releases this year because I keep looking but nothing is grabbing me as something I can’t wait to get... I ordered the new Gary Clark Jr cd and the new Hunt Sales cd(drummer from Bowie’s Tin Machine)both come out Friday. The only other 2019 release I’ve gotten this year is the new Watermelon Slim cd which is quite good if you like some old blues... sure I’ve bought other cd’s but not from 2019...
