Care to preview...? "pre-hear" right here: youtu.be/YGchlqCjj8AThis band has some good songs. Apparently, their marketing is all about the chickie. She's a power house. The best tunes that I like have some great, sexually charged lyrics. I don't know too much about this band other than a handful of remarkable songs. I was watching "Bar Rescue" and they featured this band on one of their bar projects grand re-opening. They caught my ear and I remember pics being posted on some older thread around here of the singer...

I'm pretty new to them. I was taken aback and frankly quite stunned when I saw this video taped performance from 5 years ago. Talk about a major-general command of the stage! Holy cow. I've only seen such a level from the likes of Ronnie James Dio, I swear. Whaddya think? youtu.be/VSJ9N-aCUOE

They are a great band. I think they are from Allentown, PA, which is close to me. A buddy of mine has been singing their praises for years. That said, I'm not particularly knocked out by the songs you posted links to. First one, I think, with slightly different production and the right promotion could be marketed as modern Country....and no, that is not exactly a compliment. Second one is just too slow and takes too long to get to the point IMO. Doesn't deter from the fact that this chick can fucking sing though!

Country!? really? wowie. Their "Poison" song isn't all that great, I agree. It's that performance on Jimmy Fallon that shows some serious stage presence. What are the titles of some of their real smokers?

Country!? really? wowie. Their "Poison" song isn't all that great, I agree. It's that performance on Jimmy Fallon that shows some serious stage presence. What are the titles of some of their real smokers? Oh yea. That first song is a blue print of modern country with the guitars turned up a little bit. In fact, I think most of today’s popular hard rock songs are constructed to imitate modern country. And modern country blows. Hits by the likes of Shinedown, Pop Evil, Halestorm and Nickelback could be marketed as country songs. I mean…country sells nowadays. So in order to make money a band HAS to have songs that are embraced by younger fans of “country music” (yes. I put that in quotes). It’s why I stopped listening to the hard rock radio station in Columbus (The Blitz) about ten years ago. I go find my OWN newer hard rock bands on the internet. Bands that aren’t afraid to do what they feel without the pressure of having a record company wanting them to have that big, sugary, hook-laden, country-flavored hit. I saw Halestorm live a few years ago. It was all find and dandy…but when it comes to hard rock give me bands like The Sword, Mastodon, Queens of the Stone Age and Truckfighters any day of the week. An ironic fact about country music: When I was a kid I would listen to metal to revolt against grownups who listened to country. Now, as an adult, I listen to metal to revolt against kids who listen to country. …But I do like me some outlaw country. I just hate the Blake Sheltons of the world.

Veddy interesting. I don't listen to country at all, so I've limited frame of reference with those matters.
