I've been buying some older cd's that I had on vinyl or always wanted back in the day. I've been constantly going through Amazon looking for deals. I never pay more than $5.99 for a CD & most are $3.99. I'll go through & keep adding to my cart & then cut it down to 6 items so I'll get 6 cd's for under $30. I have noticed some of the items prices change daily(a CD may be $3.99 one day & 2 days later it will be $6.99 so I always watch that. Anyway...over the past few months I picked up:
The Outlaws - Bring'em Back Live Molly Hatchet - Double Trouble Live Mountain - Twin Peaks Live REO Speed wagon - You Get what You Play for Live Blackfoot - Strikes Blackfoot - Tomcattin' Rainbow - Straight Between The Eyes Yngwie Malmsteen - Trilogy Aerosmith - Permanent Vacation Chuck Berry - Hail Hail Rock & Roll Soundtrack Journey - Next
The strange thing is on almost every release you get an automatic d/l of the CD immediately after your purchase so you don't have to wait for the cd's to arrive to listen to them. What is strange is that you automatically get the Download AND CD but in most cases it's more expensive if you just buy the Download!! I wonder if this is their way of beginning to phase out & get rid of their CD stock.

Since I had my stroke last March, Amazon has become my playground. Too numerous to mention all the Cd's & DVDs Ive bought here, but I have bought 134 Cd's from them since last May when I got out of the hospital. Going to the mail box & finding that new CD sitting there waiting for me is very therapeutic. In fact... I need to buy a new CD rack now! ;D

I like the fact that you can download the tracks right after you buy the CD. I almost got the new Anthrax covers ep today via Amazon, but drove to Best Buy instead

That Anthrax Covers EP is on my list!
Frank, I know exactly what you mean! It's very therapeutic to go to the mailbox & get CDs! I had some health issues & still have them so CDs are one thing I look forward to. I always spend over $25 for the free shipping. People(even my wife!) Will say that they can't believe that I'm always in such a good mood all the time with my problems but music is my hobby & I'm so into it that I just wake up everyday psyched to throw on music to listen to, watch a music DVD, & read about music.

Yes CDs in the mail, nothing better. Today I should get Tesla Live In Europe 2009. When it came out it was $40. I got it for $10.99. Thats all I do is sit & listen to music during the day. Right now I'm listening to Y&T Live at The Mystic. I got it the other day thru Amazon. Highly recommened if you like great guitar playing.

Wow Frank, Yesterday I ordered Tesla's 5 Man Acoustical Jam album! I had it on cassette years ago. I did pay $10.11 for that one but got 4 other Cd's so it came out to $28bucks! I'll definitely look into the Y & T live CD as I'm a fan of them

Today I got Heart's - Jupiter's Darling in the mail. This one is one those albums that goes into that goes into my "Musical Regrets" thread. What a fabulous album. I remember Jesse saying something about this album when it came out. Very old school Heart on this one. I think it ranks right up there with their 70's stuff. Another Amazon review tomorrow? We'll see how the mail man treats me!

Today I got Rush Vapor Trails & Snakes & Arrows. Both are very solid albums. Very little in the way of keyboards. Does it sound like old Rush then? Yes.. but no. Great to hear a lack of keyboards which makes you think old school Rush. But yet there's a modern sense to what they are playing. Both albums rank right up there with last years excellent A Clockwork Angels.
