As always I listen to my usual artists (Cooper,Kiss, NY Dolls, Stones...etc) but as much as I love & listen these artists I go through phases of other artists.
Lately I've been listening to a lot of...
Pat Travers Rick Derringer Joe Bonamassa Johnny Winter
Who have you been listening to lately?

I've been going back to my Country roots for the most part. Blackberry Smoke, Marty Stuart, Kentucky Headhunters, Jerry Reed, Waylon Jennings, Gary Allan, Dwight Yoakam and Whitey Morgan have all had frequent entries on my playlists as of late.

I know I'm a bit old but I finally began playing guitar about a year & 6 months ago & the first entire song I was taught was "Fast as you can" by Dwight Yoakam. I always liked Jerry Reed Frank, I've heard good things about Halestorm so I may have to look into them

It's like they had 1000 ideas and they wanted to get them all crammed into one song. There's no hooks, little melodies, and the production is kinda distorted. It has a few ok songs (three? MAYBE four?)...but as a whole, it let me down. I didn't like Vapor Trails, but I loved Snaks and Arrows. If you liked VT, you may like this one.

...I will be giving it a few more spins, though. I don't want to give up on it too quickly.

Things are starting to "click" and it sounds better. There is a LOT to digest when listening to it. I think it takes a few spins before your brain gets around everything.

I seen the Cult last Thursday & they were so good that I rushed home & bought the D/L of the new album which they played 4 or 5 song from. I really love "Honey from a Knife" & it was great Live!

The new L.A Guns I picked up when I was out of town. I was very impressed. Very sleazy 80s style metal.
The new Rush I was very impressed with. Its gotten several listens since I got it. Ive been waiting for them to put out an album like this since 79.

Great job Space! I really like the Halestorm,Baroness,& the new Accept. Snakes...the new Lita Ford is fantastic. I just got the deluxe version the other day where she does a great cover of the Bitch is Back. Gary Honey is the guitarist & co-songwriter on the album
