By the time I was in High School, Beastie Boys were somewhat passe. Their hey day was more in my late Elementary School and Junior High years. I heard them and didn't like them. I didn't listen to Rock radio back then, have MTV or go to many parties, so I can't say I was "sick of them", I just avoided them.

I was 27 when that song came out and found the video to be kind of fun.

I never listened to them at all other than the video popping up on MTV.

I really loved their licensed to Ill ' album & still do. I didn't really care for anything after that but the licensed to Ill album was so much fun back then. The whole first side had to be played straight through because everything blended together so well. Side 2 was decent but that first side was great. I'm someone who despised rap but there was something about that album(...& maybe 3 or 4 Run DMC tunes!)
