Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry has confirmed that he and Steven Tyler will play The Tonight Show with Jay Leno this Friday, January 20.
The pair will be joined by bassist and American Idol judge Randy Jackson for the performance.
Perry confirmed the information via Twitter last Friday, in response to a fan inquiry.
Joe also said he’ll be on the Tonight Show again on Monday, January 30, to help promote Amnesty International's latest music project, "Chimes Of Freedom: The Songs Of Bob Dylan Honoring 50 Years of Amnesty International."
Perry recorded Dylan’s "Man Of Peace" for the compilation.
"Performing 'Man of Peace' on Jay Leno Jan 30th for Amnesty International with some friends @rudytanzi Paul Santo & Dave Hull," tweeted Joe.
At a recent Idol press conference for the Television Critics Association, Tyler told reporters that Perry was due to join him in Los Angeles this week so that they can continue working on music for the new Aerosmith album, expected later this Spring.

I wonder what song they will play?
Possibly the overdone Walk this way again?
I mean how many more times must we hear them play that freaking song? Its not even their best. If they come out jammin with something from Rocks or Get your Wings, I will be pleased.

By "rock" they mean they will sit in rocking chairs during the interview.
