If I had even the slightest hope this new stuff would be anything like "Running With The Devil" I'd be excited, but I'm not.
Even their trailer (teaser) is just video of the "new" VH playing something silently while the original recording of Panama plays.
Hey, I hope I'm wrong, but these guys have done nothing but disappoint for many years and I'm gonna have to hear something really good before I get my hopes up.
I am much more intrigued by what Sabbath might give us.

I've got high, high HIGH hopes. Eddie's addicted brain, manic nature and all-around tortured soul are ingredients for some Smack-Talk-Killing, Way-RAD Rock'n Roll. Bring it, EDDIE!

Van Halen returns next Tuesday with “Tattoo,” the first single from their forthcoming album.
The VHND reports that one week from today, Van Halen will release “Tattoo” as the project’s lead track.
The band’s first album with David Lee Roth in 28 years arrives February 7 – still no word on the record’s title.
The site also says the 2012 Van Halen tour starts in February, with opening night happening in Louisville, Kentucky.
The full list of tour dates for the first leg of shows should be revealed soon - anytime between now and when the tickets go on sale January 10.
Some media are getting an advance preview of VH 2012 as the band plays a private show this Thursday at the 250-seat Café Wha? in New York City.

Like Equinox I hope I'm wrong but I don't have high hopes. I"m going to try and go see them whether the new album is good or not. The last time I saw them Eddie was all fucked up and Sammy had to often carry the show. From what I've read though at least Eddie has gotten himself together and can bring it live again and it would be really cool to have another good VH album.

I saw them when I didn't even know who the hell they were! They opened for a tired and ready to break up Sabbath and blew them off the stage! I had their debut "8 Track" in the car within a day! A bit ironic that both VH and Sabbath would be putting some new stuff out this year...
