Queen are in talks with former American Idol singer Adam Lambert about a possible tour.
Lambert sang with Queen at the MTV Europe Awards last month in Ireland, and fans could get more of the pairing in the future, according to drummer Roger Taylor.
"He has grown into a really great performer with an astonishing voice with a range that's great," Taylor told Billboard in Los Angeles while finalizing the tribute band for a Queen Extravaganza tour. "We would like to work with him again. There's nothing signed just yet, but we're talking about live dates. It could be very exciting."
Lambert sang three songs with Queen when they picked up their MTV Global Icon Award in Belfast; they did "The Show Must Go On" and "We Will Rock You/We Are the Champions."
After the show, Lambert tweeted his excitement about the experience, saying,
“What an enormous honor to sing w QUEEN! I could feel the spirit of Mercury alive on stage tonight! Thank u Brian and Roger and crew. LOVE"
Last month wasn’t the first time for Lambert and Queen: Adam and fellow Idol contestant (and season 8 winner) Kris Allen performed with the band on the season finale back in 2009.
