Great to be in Maine First Northeaster of the year on OCTOBER 29! As I type this there is at least 6 inches of snow on the ground and it is not supposed to let up until morning! ...And it's not that nice fluffy stuff either, it's that heavy shit! Global warming my ass! My son is friggin thrilled, even though they had to cancel his soccer tourney tomorrow. I'll be snow blowing all morning before football!

Got my power back last night, after 40 hours.
We got 10 inches of snow. Folks a little closer to the foothills west of us got 20"!
Cleaning heavy wet snow is bad enough, but we had to contend with a lot of fallen branches and leaves mixed in.

Had about 6 inches here in Pineville, Pennsylvania. Didn't lose power at my house, but lots of folks in my area did.

Had about 6 inches here in Pineville, Pennsylvania. Didn't lose power at my house, but lots of folks in my area did. My wife said that she had about 6 inches last night as well AND the power never went out!...DOH! ;D Ahhh... I jest. Us Canucks love to talk weather. Seems that's all we have in common in most circimstances on a social level at times... I must admit, you guys South of us got hit pretty damned hard and my thoughts go out to you good folk, especially those that lost power...never a nice thing. It can turn into a down right dangerous situation, especially for the elderly and those less fortunate alike. For some strange reason, we seemed to miss that weather event here in North Eastern Ontario? We actually had some nice temps and the sun reared its lovely head over the days as well...as it is now. Yeah, it's a little cool I guess, but typical for this time of year. Halloween was a nice night and the kiddies didn't have to wear their "Superman" costumes over their parkas...haha. I guess we've been lucky thus far as we have yet to see a "flake". Don't let that fool ya though...our turn is coming...and then we go into Winter Mode real fast!...then we're pretty much fucked till next April and start scopeing out trips to Cuba to help tide us over until the better weather comes along once again. Thanks Kim

Near miss for us (If you consider 4 inches of wet heavy snow a miss )today. Folks just west and north of where I am got from 12 to 18 inches. The ski resorts in NH and Vermont are thrilled! Happy Thanksgiving!
