Imagine Iron Man played backwards slowly while your molester uncle talks some weird shit about his ex, and you’ve got a good sense of just what the fuck is going on here.

I thought this was gonna be really bad, and it exceeded those expectations and entered the realm of horrible.
They could have gotten William Shatner for that spoken song bullshit, and it at least might have had some comedic value.
Metallica is a "used to be great" band. Lou Reed is a "never was much" artist. The only really decent work (IMO) were "Transformer" and "Berlin" and David Bowie was clearly steering the ship on both of those albums.
